Positive: I enjoyed all the history on the walls and the room was nice.
Negative: Getting in was a little weird with all the hoops I had to jump through but the staff answered their phones and were quick to assist. So that was good!

Positive: My room had that charming "boutique hotel" feel. It felt much more like home than any chain hotel you'll find in a big city. I appreciate the kitchenette as well.
Negative: Free parking would have been nice, but I understand that I was in downtown MPLS. It's rare to find free parking anywhere in that area.
Summary: This was a very charming option for a place to stay in MPLS, I highly recommend.

Positive: The room was clean and spacious. The host was responsive. The location was decent...close to a skyway entrance during the week and close to the convention center. There are restaurants nearby, but downtown is really more a business district so this is a good location if you're in Mpls for work, but it's not really an ideal tourist location. It is a good location and room for the price.
Negative: My room was on the ground floor and the windows looked straight out to the sidewalk so I kept the blinds closed the entire time. The front door to the building is heavy and would slam shut loudly. Unfortunately this door was directly on the other side of the wall from my headboard so it would shake my room and wake me up every time someone came or left. I could also hear the person above me walk around quite a bit. I would recommend a room on the 2nd floor towards the sides or back if possible. The bed was a little too hard for me too.

Positive: Lovely room and a very comfortable bed. The room was tastefully decorated and it was quiet.
Negative: The front door area should be cleaned and maintained. The rooms are being cleaned and that should extend to outside the property and inside the front door area which was full of dust and post on the floor. It would give a better impression of the lovely accommodation particularly when there is no attendent concierge/front desk person.

Positive: Staff responded quickly, and patiently. Charming with historic architecture. Nice updates. Mostly quiet.
Negative: Black mold in shower, with crumbling tiles. Person in next room could be heard talking…at 4 am. No hair dryer.
