Positive: The location is excellent, directly on a beautiful beach in Santa Maria. The staff were the strongest aspect of the hotel throughout my stay. Whenever I reported an issue, they were friendly, responsive, and did their best to help. I appreciated being moved to another room when I raised concerns, and on my departure day the hotel kindly allowed me to keep my room until my transfer despite my late afternoon flight. The beach bar served good drinks, and there were occasional meals that were enjoyable, particularly some of the fish dishes.

Negative: The hotel does not currently deliver what I would expect from a 4-star resort. My first room had several maintenance issues, including a cockroach, a blocked sink, a loose shower fixture, no Wi-Fi, and ongoing construction work directly outside the room. Food quality was inconsistent. Breakfast and snacks were repetitive, snack options were limited, and fresh fruit was often missing. As a pescatarian, I found myself eating the same fish almost every day. The Italian restaurant was particularly disappointing. Another major issue was smoking. There appeared to be no separation between smoking and non-smoking areas. Guests smoked on terraces and in outdoor seating areas, making it difficult to relax without being exposed to cigarette smoke. Cigarette butts were also visible in several areas, including the beach. The hotel has great potential, but maintenance, food quality, housekeeping standards, and guest comfort need more attention from management.

Summary: Fantastic beachfront location and genuinely helpful staff!

Positive: Location being beach front. Staff was very friendly and costumer service very kind. Front desk very helpful! Didn’t stay long enough to see a show, maybe next time. Great place for families and couples!!

Negative: The complex is getting old! I travels here about 25 years ago, and it seems that somethings stayed in the past! We stayed in room 324 with great internet!!! Bathroom needs work, but not a reason not to stay here. The food in general was good. Pool areas clean and staff always around. The clients as in other resorts, have this thing about keeping the chairs/sunbeds all day to themselves (shame on them) !!!

Summary: You’re getting old but you still have the touch!!!

Positive: The staff were mostly very helpful and friendly, particularly at reception. Overall, the service was good. The room and hotel were very clean. Our room was good, with a daily maid coming in to clean and make the bed. We had a balcony overlooking the pool.

Negative: The evening meal could have been better, particularly the fish night, however this was reflected in the price. We chose to eat out at local beach restaurants connected to other hotels on several nights. Some of the bar staff could have been a bit friendlier and smile when greeting you.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. clean room, good breakfast/lunch and easy access to beach. Friendly staff.
