Here you will find a child-friendly, free-standing, located in a peaceful and natural decorated with lots of charm Chalet! Located directly on hiking trails and biker route, great in winter for winter sports, sledging, skiing. Direct access by private car. Well heated with central stove and fireplace. By car: about 3 minutes to the village and about 6 minutes to aerial cable car / winter sports facilities. On foot: about 15 minutes to the village / bus stop and the bus from the village in 5 minutes to the cable car. Lovingly decorated with local-traditional handicraft (hand-carved chairs, hand-woven curtains), fireplace with wood, very well equipped kitchen with oven, stove, coffee machine, filter coffee machine, toaster, blender, fondue set. Radio-CD player. Free Wi-Fi Internet (4G reception) via mobile router in the house. Good mobile phone reception. Many fun games for the whole family. Spacious living area with large sofa table bench and wonderful view of the mountains. 3 bedrooms with: 2 beds, 3 beds, floors-2-bedded. A bathroom with shower / WC. Summary: We so enjoyed our stay. The chalet was charming, comfortable and provisions generous. The location was very quiet with only the occasional cyclist and car passing. The view from the balcony and chalet is stunning and the little fountain lots of fun for children. The chalet gives access to a less touristy, quieter and less expensive (lift price wise) area than the better known mountain ranges. there are also fantastic add-ons like the dwarf trail and marble trail to encourage progress down the mountain with small children. The Swiss have thought of everything! The chalet is also close to some fantastic lake swimming. Marc is a generous and responsive host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Marc.

Summary: We're a small family who were looking for a quiet home away from home while we toured the local region's many attractions. The chalet exceeded our expectations. Every morning we awoke to yet another stupendous vista. We recommend it to anyone seeking a retreat in this beautiful part of the world. Marc is a great host who provided plenty in the way of guides for things to do and see. The chalet is basic but very clean and homey. We would love to return!

Summary: This was out first visit to the Alps and I think we were incredibly lucky to choose Marc's chalet to stay in. It really is in a beautiful, peaceful location, also the cleanest holiday home we have ever stayed in and is clearly a much loved and cared for family home. The kitchen is equipped with every conceivable item you might need, and the open plan living and dining area is ideal, with plenty of room for the six of us in our party. The 4G broadband was three times faster than our broadband connection back home, so the kids were very happy on that front also! Our holiday was in the summer so no need for any fires or heating, but I can imagine it is delightful and cosy in the winter. The surrounding area is truly stunning. As well as all the hiking and walking trails of varying difficulty, we particularly enjoyed Meiringen; the Sherlock Holmes museum is very interesting with a great audio guide, before then going on to explore the Reichenbach Falls (Trotti scooters back were huge fun also). The Meiringen Swimming Pool was a really unexpected find; easily the most picturesque outdoor pool we've ever visited, and includes picnic areas, a great cafe, huge water slide, football, volleyball and outdoor table tennis tables - a whole day out in itself. I can highly recommend the chalet and the area, we would love to come back. Thanks again Marc for your help, advice, and your lovely chalet.
