For conventional entertainment you will find Galveston conveniently within 20 minutes. Whether you are inside or out, An Artist's View will feed your soul and deliver the vacation you deserve.
'An Artist's View' is built remotely on beautiful, sandy beach. Both upper and lower decks look out over dunes, rolling surf and 88 acres of unspoiled, nature-filled wetlands perfect for butterfly counting or bird watching where Brown Pelican's and others tour daily. The beach is quiet and allows for walks on uninterrupted sand for miles. Don't forget to bring a basket for the variety of shells you'll want to add to your collection. From our decks you can view the Bay behind us as well as crashing surf in front. Enjoy a happy hour or two on the upper deck and experience the amazing sunsets you'll find in late afternoon. Texas skies have never been bigger. Coming in April 2021, a cargo lift from ground floor up to deck by the front door!

Summary: Our stay at the beach house was simply perfect, despite a recent storm that had passed through. Summary: The house is well-stocked, the host is super responsive, the neighborhood is quiet, the location is literal steps from the beach, the water was crystal clear and the sunset view from the deck is unbeatable. 2024 was the 10th annual beach trip for this group, this house is the only house we've repeated, and we'll be back next year.

Summary: Exceptional in every way. Not outfitted as a rental, but as a home with every convenience you would have in your own home. Very homy. The place is spacious in all the right places. Large open kitchen where up to 6 or 7 people can congregate to cook or socialize while making cocktails without the feel of being in a tight crowd. Large living room with a lodge high ceiling where 10 people can seat in comfort. Large long dining table to seat 10 or so people and eat together. Kitchen has amazing array of all the utensils, tools, food storage, appliances (large fridge, blender, ice maker, mixer) everything you would need. A large upstairs pool table, game and TV room overlooking the living room (too busy doing other things to use it). Parking for at least 10 cars. House fronts right on a beach that is private by nature of being deadended with no easy access by cars. Locals use golf carts. Surf has a very large shallow area maybe 1 foot deep near a rock breakwater suitable for small children. And a freight elevator to move all your food, luggage to the high first level. Beds not cheap. Good sleep. NO, we do not have a financial interest in this place. Just appreciate a place where the owners have gone aboveboard to outfit, maintain, and provide an exceptional place and location for a group of people to lodge together. We will be back!!!!!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was there as was described in the booking. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck and windows. Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets. We definitely recommend staying here.

Summary: This was a gorgeous property to spend our family Christmas. We had a few electrical issues due to weather but the owner was so attentive and the or else was resolved quickly . I can not recommend this house more! We will definitely be back.

Summary: perfect in 1 word, this was our mental therapy for a family member who has recently gone through cancer and it what the correct medicine, however we needed a bigger dosage, lol - this home gave her the peace and tranquility she needed, infusions called her back home, however this just means we will just have to go back to the The Artist View. The home is nestled in a corner pocket of the beach, spectacular views, huge kitchen, great for the whole family - the children all had plenty of space, my 80 yr old mother even found her a quiet corner to crochet, thank you Walter, this trip meant so much to our family, we will certainly plan for another visit, hopefully soon.
