Positive: Delightful homestay, with wonderful food. Very sociable with other guests over breakfast and dinner, sharing tips on how to see Theyyams (we highly recommend local guide Vineeth, who lives nearby). Maker sure you see at least a couple of Theyyams, including a night one (4 am!), as they were a real highlight of our stay in Kerala. Great position in the coconut groves, a short walk from the beach. Great value. Our hostess was very kind and friendly whilst working very hard.

Positive: Beautiful location. The local breakfast was amazing! And nice coffee.

Negative: Everyone seemed to be paying quite different prices for the same rooms? Also I said to the owner I would get back to him by 4pm if I wanted food there at night. He did not check his messages and so I went without dinner that night.

Positive: It is a little tricky to find at the end of a small maze of roads and tracks - and that is why it is absolutely one of the top places to stay if you like getting away from it all. The view from the beautiful communal terrace out into the grove of coconut palms and trees, with the promise of the Arabian Sea just beyond that is wonderful. Excellent owner who trusts his lovely staff to get on well with the tasks. Whether guiding that first time route down to the beautiful Thottada beach; serving food or souring a bottle of chilled soda water and lemons.

Positive: Everything. Sajeev and his wife are outstanding hosts in every sense of the word. The location, in a forest 5 minutes walk from a beautiful and uncrowded beach and 15 minutes from a village with shops is ideal. The room was airy, large enough and comfortable. Hot water and excellent food. A most enjoyable visit.
