Summary: One day included no room Make-Up until after 5:30 pm, after our requests to do so, and after the front desk tried to suggest no room makeups after 5:00 pm. Our evening with family was delayed and ruined.

Summary: We’ve been staying at Ocean Place for several years and it doesn’t disappoint!! Rooms are clean and comfortable, had a problem with A/C not cooling so was easily moved to another room. Staff brought requested extra bedding and were so nice. Only criticism is Tiki bar which is great in theory but not in practice: staff is not attentive (too busy flirting and talking with each other/guests) and the bar is filthy. Take some time to literally clean, wipe everything down, get rid of empty boxes and unneeded items rather than pile them up where they can be seen. And I love to see staff having fun but don’t forget about service!!

Summary: Filming another spring break movie. WHY????? No access to pool for entire stay because of them filming this movie. Ugh. Claim I was suppose to receive a call. No one called me. However, I called on another matter and spoke to reservations several times. No one mentioned that I would not be able to use the pool for this week. I was traveling with a friend. She’s the beach person. I’m the pool person. So, I lost out all around. Also, no smart tv. Limited cable channels.ugh The positive is, private access to the beach which includes chairs and umbrellas included in your fee for staying at the resort.

Summary: The place is very nice. When you arrive you do not feel like you are in New Jersey but rather at a tropical location. Upon entry to Ocean Place, you can tell that the location needs some updating but nonetheless it was acceptable. The beach absolutely stunningly beautiful and kept immaculate. Surprisingly the bedrooms are a very nice size. But the rooms also need some updating. Maintenance had to be called as the sink in the bathroom needed to be unclogged. The small ice box in small room refrigerator was completely iced over, though it did Keep what small items we had in there cold. So again maintenance had to be cold. The ice machine on the 4th floor was not working so we had to go up to the fifth floor for ice. The sliding doors in the closet hung from their track, but swung in and out whenever the door to the room with hit it because the door stopper was also broken. This was not just in our room, but the second room that we also reserved. The refrigerator in that room didn't work at all, so maintenance did replace that refrigerator. So it was a lot of housekeeping issues with these two rooms but that did not deter the feeling of being in a cozy tropical Resort. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say the experience was a 7.5. The amenities comfortable enough because you really don't spend too much time in the room anyway. I did appreciate the abundance of towels. Nonetheless we will definitely be going back sooner than later!

Summary: To be clear, we love the area, and we stay here every July. The convenience is incredible. With the private beach, and in the middle of the boardwalk/pier area, we honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else. With that said, it's overpriced, food is less than meh, the spa services are outrageous so I don't partake (and I'm a spa person!). Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is less expensive, lol. But you don't have to partake in any of that to stay here, so that's what makes it worth it. The area: so many food choices. You can get something good for cheap or expensive. I don't eat large quantities, but I'm still a foodie. The "fast food" is fun... lobster rolls, Asian fusion tacos, pancakes for dinner... there's everything. Finer fare can be found beachfront. Everything within walking distance. The beach has its own area for guests and chairs and umbrellas are gratis. Tip the kids working there. They make the experience even more enjoyable. We looooove walking the boardwalk, and then when it ends we walk around the residential area and dream that someday we can own one of them suckers, lol. Get a bagel widdashmeah at Call Your Bubbi. Given the area, you really need to. Like, really really. The room: Bed was too squishy, but maybe you like that kind of thing. It's generally very clean. The TV was the death of me because it was dim. But if you don't care, then whatevs, amiright? The beach is so clean. The surf is so fun. It ain't cheap, but the location is key, so it's worth it.

Summary: The maid service was a issue this time around. I have been coming to Ocean Place for over 20 years and have not encountered this type of issue. On the third day of my trip housekeeping came to the door and I was just about to leave. I asked them to give me two minutes. They never came back. Came back to the room with food from the night before still in garbage can and nothing touched.
