ABOUT THE CABIN
Located on 11 acres of oceanfront property, this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom all wood cabin is rustic, but nice rustic. nestled beside a small stream, just a 10-minute walk to the private beach on an unpaved trail through this forested property. Careful on the trail as it can be slipperyThe cabin is bright and airy with lots of deck space and windows to enjoy both forest and ocean views. There is cellphone and WIFI service. There is a propane BBQ on the patio and fire-pit beside the cabin.
THE SPACE:
The main floor has a kitchen with a central island counter, double sink, full-sized fridge and stove, microwave, and a dining table with all the basics for preparing meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is a sizeable wrap-around deck to enjoy the sunsets, eagles, and other wildlife. Be careful on the deck as the planks are rough-cut cedar so it is uneven, and can be slippery when wet.
The main floor bedroom has a queen-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, and its own private deck to enjoy a morning coffee. The lofted master bedroom has a large soaker tub with views of the ocean and sunsets through the upper windows. The main floor and deck also enjoy ocean views.
GUEST ACCESS
The cabin is situated on 11 acres of oceanfront property 10 kilometers south of Lund, BC, on Atrevida Road. The cabin has parking beside it.

Summary: Make no mistake, this is a “rustic” stay—it felt akin to camping, but more comfortable. Not necessarily worth the price tag, but we liked the remote, private location (a 20-minute drive to Powell River and a 10-minute drive to Lund) and the fact that management was on-site and easily accessible. The property is in need of maintenance (notably, the neighbouring cabin has been abandoned, the landscape is seriously overgrown, the downstairs bed dips in the middle, and the bathroom door creaks), but if you’re just looking for an upgrade from tenting, you’ll be a happy camper here.

Summary: From the view of the ocean on the comfy deck through the trees, to the loft bedroom soaker tub, it was our best family vacation spot. Loved the cedar interior and evenings on the deck. We’ll be back!! Thankyou to our hosts, Gloria & William!

Summary: The cabin was cute and well stocked with everything needed. However it was so hot during the daytime hours that it was hard to bear being indoors. Thankfully we spent our days on the ocean and were able to avoid being inside until the sun went down. The main sliding door did not open and there are no screens on windows or doors letting a lot of bugs in while trying to get some air flowing. The shower in the main floor bedroom leaked into the bedroom soaking the bag my son had sitting on the floor. Besides that, this really is a cute cabin which would be a great place to stay if these issues were resolved.
