Situated between two state parks and perched 200 feet above the surf on over an acre of private, oceanfront property, this cabin offers spectacular views of the North Coast. A perfect romantic getaway for one or two couples, the recently completely remodeled property includes:
- Two main bedroom suites with full bathrooms, each on a separate level with separate outdoor entrances.
- There is a complete kitchen on the upper level and a kitchenette and laundry room on the lower level.
- New fixtures, cabinetry, appliances, furniture, and flooring throughout.
- A stunning, Alaskan yellow cedar deck with teak Adirondack chairs, a new Weber BBQ, and a gas deck heater.
- A picnic table and large firepit in the center of the property.
Public access to the beach is a short walk down the road and the charming town of Manzanita is a short walk or bike ride away.

You’re able to sit cliffside (200 feet above the ocean) and view the Manzanita shoreline, the south walls of Neahkahnie Mountain, surfers (directly below), windsurfers, whales and, of course, sunsets. Eagles frequently perch in trees along the property, and deer will cross by in the morning.

Summary: This was hands down the most beautiful location we have ever stayed! It is like your own little private slice of heaven. From the height the property is at, it was easy to see whales out in the ocean, and the sunsets over the water were beautiful. The upstairs apartment was perfect for our needs as it was just my husband and I. The only negatives was that the upstairs bed was murder on our backs. Halfway through our visit we started sleeping in the downstairs bed, which was much more comfortable. In spite of the bed, this was hands down our favorite VRBO stay yet. We will be back!

Summary: This was our third stay here and we love the location and the view. The hot tub was not functioning and the deck heater was broken so we weren't able to spend much time outside. It was disappointing and we are not sure if we will go back. The interior isn't great but we make it work to enjoy the view.

Summary: The setting is spectacular - wide open views of the ocean and incredible sunsets. The street and neighbors are quiet and you feel like you're completely isolated. House was spotless and well appointed, easy drive to beach and shops. We managed the external access with kids with no problem, but with younger kids it might be an issue. Over the place was fantastic and we'd absolutely stay again.

Summary: This rental might be just right for two people (perhaps two couples) who are traveling together but also want separate time. The separate upper and lower living units are accessed solely by an outdoor rock path and cedar stairway; there's no internal stairway. (We were at the rental during rainy days; the stairs were slick and did not have--but very much need--anti-slip treads.) The dwelling is in a beautiful, quiet, end-of-the-road setting with an elevated deck, grill, Adirondack chairs (for the incredible view of ocean and the Manzanita beach!), a firepit, and a beautiful expanse of grass. The Internet connection is great. We don't know about the TVs, because we didn't turn them on. The upper unit (with a view of the ocean) has a small kitchen space, small refrigerator, no dishwasher, a gateleg table with one side that serves as a small, two-person dining table, two uncomfortable wood slat folding chairs, bedside spot lamps, a couch, an easy chair, and a television, but no reading lights. It includes a wood stove (wood provided), a baseboard heater, and a wall heater with a noisy fan. The upstairs bathroom toilet ran off and on, every 3-4 minutes or so; instead of reporting that problem to the rental company during our visit, we periodically turned that water line off and on. The lower unit (with a sliding glass door opening on to a pleasant garden) has a couch with a large television, washer/dryer, mini-fridge, sink and coffee maker, & bedside spot lamps.

Summary: Outdoor space was amazing for hanging out and enjoying the view with a couple of close friends. Indoor space was cozy, but better for a couple or close friends. Floors don't connect via indoor staircas and there is no real kitchen table, so wouldn't be good for a more social gathering.
