Positive: The chef and his wife were ultra kind and the meal the chef prepared was excellent! Since we had more interaction with the chef, we can both say that he is a gem of a person and no doubt his wife is as well. We just briefly met her when we checked in. The home and location to the ferry is the best!
Negative: Our room did not have a tv, coffee pot, waters, or a shower that worked or that could be stood up in. If the long-necked shower head worked, one could kneel and take a shower, but that was very challenging. And the toilet seat was very loose and wobbly. Needs repair or replacement.
Summary: It's a beautiful home with a beautiful dining room and we totally enjoyed the chef! What a gem!

Positive: Bob (half the ownership team) very friendly. Clean, good food and location. Interesting and international guests. General area was a fascinating place for us. Liked Digby a lot.
Negative: Our room was small and up a long staircase. Avoid the “Blue room.” The bathroom tub was under a low overhead eve. VERY uncomfortable arrangement. I think the other rooms were nicer. This was, supposedly, a room with a view of the Bay, but the window was cloudy and small.
Summary: Nice place to stay IF you get the right room - which, alas, we didn’t.

Positive: Bantering with chef., Good breakfasts. Overall good sleep.good food . Great place to stay in Digby.
Negative: Had little trouble as first with payment. Received a letter from booking. Apologizing on behalf of hosts mistake. I will forward it to Bob and marria. In case there .needs to be more discussion with booking going forward. Marria honored the deal I was given by booking. And took her loss graciously .the basement rooms were lovely if a little chilly this time year.

Positive: A fantastic stay in a Victorian-decorated house atop a hill with a stunning ocean view, hosted by a nice couple. Although there was a slight hiccup with overbooking in the room we initially reserved, the hosts promptly upgraded us to a suite without any issues. The atmosphere was serene and the accommodations were impeccably clean. Delicious breakfast, skillfully prepared by our host, who happens to be a chef. Wake up early to see the sunrise over the harbor - unforgettable experience.
