Summary: Everything described by previous renters was perfectly accurate and as advertised.. Our stay was exceptional. The location was so very relaxing and there was nothing that we could have wanted or needed. The hosts were very accommodating and we felt very welcomed. The fire pit overlooking the water was so much enjoyed by us. We will be back!!

Summary: Loved this quaint, quiet, private cottage! Check-in and check-out was so easy. The cottage was small and so cozy - perfect for 2. It was spotless, with charming decor and all we needed for our stay. Hosts left a lovely welcome basket with truely yummy treats. The cottage is well named...saw a blue heron every day, and were visited daily by white tail deer. We were interested in some down time so really appreciated the quiet and privacy, but the location would also be great as "home base" for seeing the sights of the South Shore and a bit beyond. We would absolutely recommend Blue Heron Cottage and would happily visit again.

Summary: Beautiful comfy cottage in the woods. Quiet location. Roomy bedroom. Had everything we needed. We loved the personal touches and especially the greeting cookies/wine. Wonderful spot to observe wildlife (deer and birds). Rosalie and George were very responsive. Next time we are in the area we will be back.

Summary: We walked about the island and came across 3 deer which were beautiful. Took in the sun Sat. afternoon down on the boardwalk then bbq supper. It was wonderful. Thank you again

Summary: Rosalie & Greg's cottage on the South Shore of Nova Scotia was everything we had hoped for - a quiet, private retreat. It seems totally isolated, but was just a short drive to Lunenburg and other areas. The pictures on their website are completely accurate; everything was top of the line and beautiful! We spent hours bird watching & sitting by the fire pit (burning was allowed after 7pm) and enjoyed having a few deer drop by for a visit. The well water, as stated on their site, does have a mineral smell, especially in the (beautiful) shower, but the odor doesn't linger, and the drinking water dispenser worked perfectly. We definitely recommend this property & would go back again if we were in the area.

Summary: The cottage is perfect, from the moment you walk down the path to the front door. Inviting inside and out. You won’t find a more peaceful, lovely spot and yet its only a short drive to shopping or touring. What an amazing location! The cottage is thoughtfully stocked with everything to make a stay special and the owners are wonderful to communicate with if needed.
