Positive: The staff including Ms. Ogawa who was the most hospitable during our stay. The owners are 5th generation and the prime location overlooking the water was perfection. It is a wonderful respite from the crowded and touristy areas in Japan along the Shinkansen route. The authentic high level kaiseki Japanese cuisine was excellent with many varieties of fresh seafood including grilling a fresh lobster is part of the ryokan's service. They have an small onsen and sauna. Exceptional details in the room, specifically the architectural woodwork and the brand new tatami mats. If you are looking for a traditional, luxury ryokan experience, this is the place for you. It is very quiet and spotless too.
