three quiet 'Nantucket Style' sea side cottages are here and are all newly renovated. They are a seaside boutique experience here in Bristol, Rhode Island. They are perched directly on our private beach front properties and offer sparkling waters, soft summer breezes and rhythmic waves on the sea shore. Our cottages have been filmed for their sweet Nantucket charming appeal and been in a recent Nantucket based movie. The first of the 3 Bristol Sails Cottages is Bristol Sails Oceans Cottage, the second is Bristol Sails Sea Dreams Cottage and the third is Bristol Sails Beach Cottage. Each of the three Nantucket Beachy Sea Side Cottages offer two bedrooms overlooking the soft breezy tranquil waters and offer a panoramic view of the Mt. Hope Bay. For most of us a dream of floating would involve a boat and water or a magical ride in the air. But here at Bristol Sails Oceans Cottage you’ll soon feel the powers of the ocean that uplift you as you feel suspended here on the deck overlooking the ocean surrounded by the sea! You are not dreaming! Should you spend time down on the beach you will soon feel smoothed like sea glass by the tides and will certainly leave your cares behind! A great way to rest listening to the lapping waters. We offer two newly remodeled bedrooms each with either a romantic King sized mahogany canopied bed or mahogany Queen sized carved pineapple four poster bed made up for a King or a Queen in luxurious designer linens! The new white wicker furnished deck at Bristol Sails Oceans Cottage offers an old fashioned white wicker love seat, white wicker rocker, stylish glass umbrelled dining table and comfortable cushioned chairs for al fresco dining by the sea! All seated around an outdoor gas fireplace and perched overlooking the water! The perfect spot to sip your morning coffee watching the red sunrise or have a glass of wine watching the captains billowing sails go by towards their open sea adventure. A balmy night, the moonlit sea, a soft breeze, the infusion of fresh sea air throughout the house, sultry music together with a dazzling view of twinkling lights across the bay bridge make for one of the most memorable evenings of the summer! You won't want to leave your front porch! The coastal appeal, cushy down pillows, hand rolled towels and your personal platter of treats awaits your arrival!
Nantucket Hydrangea Oceans Cottage has 7 glass transomed sliders giving you a spectacular waterview while laying on your cushy leather living room couch reading or resting. Step off your new white wicker furnished deck and just 5 steps down you will find the sounds of the seashore clearer on your large private beach patio. Fall asleep on the padded chaise lounge chairs to the sounds of the lapping waves and wake to the faint cries of the gulls. A few steps now and your are on the beach. Our quiet New England cove beach is not a busy public beach and offers lots of seashells and seaglass for those passionate treasure hunters! You will have beach front chairs for you here as well as tropical umbrellas for shade. We have kayaks for seafaring adventurers to paddle over to the nearby swans, bird sanctuary and preserve land. Anglers….There is great fishing here right in front of the cottage striped bass and blue fish are favorite catches. Many Rhode Island records have been caught just down the beach! The open Living room has a leather couch, Oak fireplace, open floor plan, high ceilings, beachy white bead board, glass kitchen cabinets filled with our Blue and White English China. The kitchen features a glass top stove, oven and farmhouse sink. Second and third cottages are also available next door each with individual accompaniments and boutique experiences. The cottage is surrounded by bright blue periwinkle hydrangeas. A secluded beach front hideaway and breathtaking ocean front views.
Calm mornings offer mirrored seas when all you can hear are the sea birds. Dramatic days watching the billowing sails of Captains Ships glide by against the sparkling waters. Evenings where the big sky is filled with stars over the twinkling of the distant bridge.

Autumn in Bristol - In early autumn the low slanting rays of the sun illuminate the tops of the sea grasses and the now amber purple heads of the hydrangeas that were once a bright periwinkle blue over the summer. Harvest Festivals, Quahog Festivals and Farmer Markets abound in Bristol and local near by towns.
Behind your door, a personal platter of treats is left for you in the fridge upon your arrival, along with european soaps and fine spa products to add to your seaside experience here. We are open winter, spring, summer or fall. We decorate for each season and suggest visits during our towns celebrations each season. Fourth of July is the pinnacle of excitement here in Bristol Rhode Island. This year celebrating our 238th Bristol Fourth of July Celebration! Old Glory! The flag, the pride, the pledge, the cannon, the fireworks, the freedom to celebrate and honor those who sacrificed! This pride of our country is celebrated here in Bristol, Rhode Island all year and at Bristol Sails Cottages! An exciting experience right down to our Red, White and Blue stripped streets! Although there is much to do here, many of our guests just spend their time on our patio outside overlooking the beach relaxing on our comfortable padded chaise lounge chairs.
Some of our guests fish directly in front of the house for their catch of the day. You can shell all day and walk the beach or kayak. Anyone who wants a get away for a special occasion or just a vacation, this is a special place to come and not far from any adventure, including the fantastic Newport Mansions, Polo Grounds, Roger Williams Zoo, the stately homes of Bristol, our favorite casual restaurants, golf, etc...
