Summary: This is a quirky apartment in a wonderful building and a fantastic location right in the heart of the old town. Surrounded by restaurants and bars you really are in the middle of everything. The one criticism I would have is the ‘mezzanine bed’, which is unsuitable for anyone who might need to get up during the night, struggle with the steep and narrow loft-style steps or is claustrophobic.

Summary: The property is an apartment which has been built into an older renovated building, modern accoutrements overlaid onto an old structure. It was done very well, and the apartment is very attractive and quite comfortable. It is nestled into the Vieux Lyon neighborhood, so there are innumerable conveniences such as boulangerie, epicerie, grocery, and dozens of restaurants. The only caution I would add is this property would be difficult to access and use if one had major mobility issues.

Summary: This is a lovely place, combining the experience of living in a medieval building with a lovely decorated apartment. It opens onto a bustling square in Old Lyon, though inside the courtyard it is very quiet. Lots of delicious restaurants and shops nearby. As others have said, the apartment is rather dark, but the lighting is nicely done. Spacious living room, even when the sofa bed is pulled out. On a raised ground floor, you only have to carry your suitcases up about 10 stairs. Note that cell reception does not come through the stone walls.

Summary: Very nice apartment, in a fascinating 15th-century building in Old Lyon. I enjoyed experiencing the rosy filtered light of the courtyard through the stone casements of the windows--- and also having fully modern windows set into them, the apartment is a nice mix of modern convenience and historic setting. Very quiet, isolated from the street noise. Abundant restaurants, an easy walk to downtown Lyon, fun to spend several days in this location.

Summary: My husband and I spent 3 lovely days in this quaint, but modern and excellently located, apartment. It is situated in the heart of old Lyon which is heavy with tourists, but the apartment is quiet and has everything one needs for a pleasant stay. Walking out the door you find yourself in the midst of shops, restaurants and cafes. Lyon is a beautiful city and there is much to see and do. Our hosts Brigitte and Steve were friendly and helpful. They even accepted our little traveling companion Marcel , a 3 kilo caniche ( poodle) dog. We will stay here again on our next visit to Lyon. !!!

Summary: The apartment is in an excellent position and the facilities are good too. The apartment is well equipped if you want self catering. Lyon is an easy city to get around but the best aspect of this flat is the fact it is in the centre of old Lyon.

Summary: This is a fantastic location for people wishing to stay in the heart of Vieux Lyon! It is in a very old building (built in the 1300s i think). It is near many historic buildings, one block from the Saone River, a short walk away from the Cathedral, the Metro and the funicular which takes you to the top of the Fourviere Hill where the Bastille is located as well as two ancient Roman sites. There are nearby markets, bakeries, restaurants and a dizzying array of shops. A few blocks away appears to be a district that supports digital animation companies with several shop windows showing cute mechanical animations. Across the river is Place Bellecour which is a short walk away and has one of the best tourist offices we have ever visited. We stayed in the apartment for three nights and slept on the fold-out bed in the living room which we found to be very comfortable. The apartment was spacious, clean, safe, quiet, well equipped (refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, television, phone and on and on), warm, comfortable and very relaxing. It is on the French first floor (second floor for U.S. folks). Light comes in through one set of windows, so it is a little dim. There wasn’t anything about the apartment that we disliked. We thought the apartment reflected the pride of ownership that Steve and Brigitte must have in it.

Summary: We honestly couldn't have asked for a better place in Lyon (Vieux). It was the cutest apartment with all the original character of its rich history (wooden beams, stone walls etc). Great size for a couple or even a small family. It was within walking distance of anything you could ever need in Vieux Lyon. But, what I loved best was that it also just happened to be in one of the city's infamous 'traboules'. As a great grand daughter of a French Resistance Member this was the cherry on top. I LOVED this place and will recommend it to anyone and everyone. Also, both Steve and Brigitte are exceptional people, kind, fun and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your charming apartment!!!
