Summary: The appartment is well situated between Reggio nell Emilia, Modena and Bologna and not far from the lovely hills of the Appenin Mountains hence offering lots of opportunities for biking and hiking. It has a large terrace which invites for having breakfeast in the morning and dinner in the evening. For this we would have liked the kitchen to be better equipped. We would have also enjoyed contacts with the farmer. In summary, we liked this place.

Summary: We loved our stay at the old manor house. It is a beautiful and peaceful country setting. We enjoyed the friendly farm animals (dogs and cats). Dario was a very responsive host and helped us graciously with anything. He even provided a tour of his winery for us which we found very interesting. If you are looking for a peaceful country get away then this is the perfect place. It has plenty of outdoor space and fun for a family.

Summary: Great location for experiencing one of the great food areas of the world and a short drive to some wonderful small cities and experiences. host was very helpful and responsive to all needs. Please remember this is a working farm surrounded by other farms and hard working people and is an a authentic experience than staying in a hotel.

Summary: Previously when visiting friends in Modena we've stayed in the centre, but with young children in our group this appartment approx. 20 mins drive away was perfect. It had everything we needed and a wonderful view. Dario was very helpful and friendly. Our sons loved the very friendly cats, and we also saw several deer in the evenings.

Summary: Apartment had plenty of space and a lovely terrace, just a pity that it is incredibly hot. There is no shade on the terrace, or at most of the windows. We purchased a fan from a nearby supermarket but it didn't relieve us from the heat that built up in the apartment. So we ended up leaving a few days earlier than scheduled.

Summary: Parking was right next to the apartment. The owner turned out to be a winemaker, and because we had 6 guys, (wine importers from Shanghai), and they were nice enough to prepare 6 beds for us. Maria gave us two bottles of their wine, which was surprisingly good. We were particularly impressed by their Lambrusco, which in our experience, was supposed to be sweet and generic, but his Lambrusco was dry and vibrant. Another red wine made with an indigenous grape, Ancellotta, was also impressive. We had a nice big balcony overlooking the vast vineyard, and we were able to move the big table out there and had our meals and watch the moon-rise over the vineyard towards the end of our dinners. Overall a great stay.

Summary: We stayed in the apartment for 5 days. We used this place as a base for trips to Bologna, Parma and Modena. The farm is an organic vineyard between Reggio Emilia and Modena (20 minutes drive). The owners are very friendly and will give you tips for your journey. The apartment we stayed in was very clean with a small kitchen in the big living room and a double bed on the second floor. There is a nice bathroom as well. There is a tv and wifi. It is possible to get an extra bed or a baby cot. You are welcome to use the garden, where there is a barbecue, table and chairs and a lounge chair. There is a town (Rubiera) east of the farm where there are supermarkets, banks etc. and if you drive a bit further east towards Modena there is a shopping mall. We can recomend visiting Modena, Parma, Fontanellato and Bologna. We also went to a small water park called Piscine Molinazzo. It has four pools, a small playground and a cafe and it is great if you are traveling with small children and need to cool down in the heat. It is located between Santa Maria del Piano and Bassa south of Parma.
