Come stay in our Charming McKay Park Retreat and experience all Bend has to offer!
Bend and Mount Bachelor are enjoying an amazing winter season with fantastic skiing just minutes away.
McKay Park Retreat is a bright and cheerful 2 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bathroom townhome just steps from the Deschutes River and McKay Park. It is also a short drive or walk to the Mount Bachelor Park and Ride Shuttle service where you can ride worry free up to the mountain and enjoy the slopes. This well cared for townhome sleeps 4 comfortably on 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. We offer a fold-out futon and sleeper sofa for families of 5. Both bedrooms are upstairs. For those traveling with a baby, let us know and we will provide a highchair and Pack'n Play
The location of this Townhome is ideal for those wanting to be able to ski, ice skate, enjoy the river, walk or bike ride to the Old Mill for shopping, dining, a movie, or a concert at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater. We supply 4 beach chairs and towels for your ease and enjoyment.
In the summer you can access the river from McKay Park, just steps out the door, where you can put in your flotilla and float the river to Drake Park or stand up paddle board. There is a Shuttle that picks up throughout the day to give you a Ride back home. For those of you skilled in kayaking and surfing you can also access the wave park from this Park as well. Please educate yourself about the waves through Bend Park and Recreation before use.
You can also walk about 5 minutes up the street to the "Pavilion" where you can find ice skating in the winter and in the summer, basketball courts, a small climbing wall and skate park for the kids to enjoy. Check the Bend Parks and Recreation web site for more details.
There is a also a great park for younger kids, 3 minutes down the street at Columbia Park.
This is a great location for ski and boarder enthusiasts! We are minutes from the Shuttle service where you can catch a shuttle to Mount Bachelor. Or, you can drive to the mountain in about 25-45 minutes, weather and traffic permitting. We are only a 15 minute drive from the free Meissner and Wanoga Snow parks for awesome Nordic skiing, tubing and snowmobiling.

Summary: Not a single complaint from start to finish with our stay in this comfortable home. All communications were clear and prompt, and the home was exactly as described and pictured. We were pleased with the overall comfort (furnishings, beds, baths), the kitchen and linens were nicely stocked, the floorplan is efficient and useable, and everything was well-maintained and in good working order. This home is in a quiet neighborhood, but still just a few blocks from shopping and dining. Access to Mt. Bachelor and other key points is straight-forward. We will be staying here again!

Summary: It was the perfect size for out family of 4. We loved being by the river. We would walk down to the rapids and watch everyone as well as let the boys get in the water. we were able to walk to a lot of places including the park and tube and old mill, the amphitheater. The owners were very responsive and quick to reply to messages. being able to park at the garage was super helpful. We would stay here again.

Summary: Given the location, which is a block away from a major water park, there wasn’t one boogie board or tube to go enjoy. The master bathroom shower had mold around the edges and the smart tv gave the constant message of not being set up. The last thing was the very dim lighting made it hard to feel comfortable.

Summary: We walked to Mill District and along the river. Tube rental a block away for floating the river. River rapids just a block out back. Really nice street; very walkable. Liked the garage access and driveway out back for loading/unloading the car.

Summary: Liked the place very much. Perfect for our tastes and needs. The kitchen could use a large pot for cooking pasta, etc. Also, unless we missed it, there was only one knife other than steak knifes. We used the garage for entry and exit, having a vehicle on garage that was not ours made it inconvenient to squeeze our ski bags between bicycles and truck.. Those are just suggestions for improvements. We Very much enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

Summary: This townhome is located 1 1/2 blocks from the Deschuttes River and McKay water park and is walking distance to the outdoor ampitheatre. I would highly recommend this rental property.

Summary: The perfect location in a house that is perfectly provisioned. Walk to get a tube (we brought our own-experienced tubers) and float the river, walked to the amphitheater for Steve Miller, rode the townie bikes to town for dinner, growler phil’s and the veg stand to get great food for the grill. One of us came for the beer. Between the brewfest, close proximity to lots of breweries and Phil’s, we tried them all. Bring/buy a growler. Drink tank is based in Bend. You don’t need a car and you will get the best of Bend from this great little house.
