**Child and Pet Friendly - Steps away from the Beach - Privacy Galore!**
My family loves the rustic character of our older beach front cottage and we
hope you will too.
Sometimes you can hear the wind whistling through the original single pane
windows. You can smell the wood burning fireplace as an occasional draft
works it's way down through the hundred year old chimney and fireplace. Some
of the original plumbing fixtures remain, working fine, but aged. The
original wood floors can creak from time to time and the sand has a way of
working itself in through the many crevices that open and close with the
humidity of the bay. Some of the doors and windows may not open with ease as
they suffer from the same malady. I would like to temper your expectations of
our Rustic and Historic Beach Cottage.
You can see the water from the porch, sitting room and the main living area of
this very cool beach front property. This home features 3 large bedrooms
containing very comfortable pillow-top mattresses and high end bedding. There
are 1 1/2 bathrooms and a roomy living room and kitchen.
It has a very large porch for grilling out (Charcoal Grills) and socializing.
We recently installed a 50" Smart TV and WiFi.
We have on site parking for two vehicles, with space for 2 more just in front
of our garage. Additional parking is available on the street. This set up is
perfect for your 4 legged friends - with hardwood floors, don't worry about
the sand that is sure to follow you in. Clean up is a breeze. Fall asleep
listening to the gentle waves of the Chesapeake Bay. And let the cool breeze
blow away the present day stress! Join us with a small step back in time as
you enjoy our Rustic Beach Cottage situated right on the beach of the
Chesapeake Bay!
The Master Bedroom has a Queen Size Pillow Top Mattress - It is Fantastic!
The 2nd Large Bedroom also has a Queen Size Pillow Top Mattress - It is also
Fantastic! And I just added a Full Size Bed for a few extra guests, if
needed. The 3rd Bedroom has 3 Twin Size Pillow Top Mattresses with Memory
Foam - the kids will not want to get out of bed!!
Even with a thorough modernization the property is a historical home that is
now over 112 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building
standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its
charm as an older beach cottage. Our bathrooms are not as large as modern
built, but even so, we hope that you will love our older and charming home.
As this is a residential area, we ask that our guests be respectful of the
neighbors by keeping noise levels to a minimum.
This unit is completely private and shares nothing with other units - except
the semi-private beach. You have private parking, entrances and exits,
barbecue grills (charcoal) and a wide, expansive and private back porch. Years
ago, two additional units were carved out of this Beach Front Property - one
in the attic and one in the basement.
I hope you enjoy the rustic nature of this cottage as much as we do!
Pet Fee is $99 per pet per stay.
If not disclosed prior to your stay, the pet fee is $300
Pets must be house trained and stay off of bedding and furniture
An Extra Cleaning fee of $99 will be charged to remove pet hair from bedding
or furniture
There is additional pet fee $100 per dog excluding tax and processing fee for
all guests with ESAs (Emotional Support Animals).
Extra Charges:
Early Check-In for 1 PM - $75 (if available) Late Check-Out at 1 PM - $75 (if
available)
Normal Check Out is 10 AM. A fee of $45 per hour is charged beginning at
10:05 AM
Cleaners are on a schedule and can not be kept waiting!
This is a Family/Residential unit and area. No loud music or noise. Quiet
hours begin at 9 PM.

Summary: It was an amazing weekend everyone is so nice around. the house is older but beautifull place to stay with your family the beech is Absolutely amazing. Hope we can rent this special gem again in the future

Summary: Our stay was okay. The house was in an excellent location to the beach, however very difficult to find from the road. The house was a great size & the beds were so comfortable. I rate this with a 3 because I felt like there were several things that desperately need updated. The faucets in the bathroom were heavily rusted and leaking. When taking a shower, our faucet diverter broke so we werent able to take a shower the last day of our stay. There is not much of an ocean view as there is a lot of foliage growing on the screens of the porch. Our grill was not operable as the inside was completely rusted out. I contacted our host but he was unable to repair before we left which is completely understandable. Our host was very attentive and quick to answer. If the inside gets updated a little, I would gladly return! ret8rn return.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay. Great location on the beach and small town so not a lot of traffic. Cottage is old, so it has its quirks, but it’s good for a beach trip. Great brewery walking distance across the street - always a perk! If you bring your dogs, the beach has dog hours. No dogs on the beach from 10am - 6pm. The owners also might have dog restrictions that aren’t listed. After I booked they requested I send them my dogs breed, age, weight. Then gave me approval to bring them. The cottage is not a private home to rent, it has an upstairs and downstairs apartment, so neighbors you need to worry about noise. The rental company will also add your email to their email list and start sending you their other vacation rentals - which I was not a fan of.
