Summary: Our stay was wonderful and the sound of the creek rushing was so peaceful. The cabin came with everything we needed to stay for 8 days. The host Bill was super nice, if we are ever in the area again we will definitely book again.

Summary: We stayed here for only two nights in May over Mothers Day weekend. Me, the wife and our two teenage kids (who didn't really want to go and spend time with us in the first place) and a tiny dog. Looking back, it was exactly what this family needed. The only negatives I can think of is that parts of the house need a little spring cleaning, the refrigerator reeked and the stream running next to the house had no fish. The positives were over whelming. Beautiful area to walk the dog, horseshoes, firepit by the stream (we needed more time BTW as we never got to do S'mores). Wildlife, waterfalls, super comfy beds, quiet, so many games. We did not get to go into the hot tub either. The railroad was the best part. My daughter and I enjoyed seeing both Amtrak #5 & #6 and the Rocky Mountaineer, waving at the crew and getting them to honk at us. Some people may not like the proximity to the railroad tracks, but we loved it, and it made this trip for us a little more special as my teenage kids would see the signal lights at the end of the driveway turn green and want to run up and watch and wave. So, in the end we loved this place and we have thought about this house daily since we left, and we want to return next year as we ran out of time and still had so much to do!

Summary: My family of 4 visited for five nights during spring break. We enjoyed the house very much. We found everything we needed (including THREE coffee brewing options - a regular pot, a Keurig and a Nespresso). A big snowfall was forecasted for our first night and we were concerned about making it out of the driveway in the morning. I messaged with Gavin throughout the evening about snow removal. He was very responsive and helpful. Thankfully the storm dropped a lot less snow than expected and we were thrilled to get out in the morning and enjoy 8 inches of fresh powder at Eldora. It’s worth noting that the driveway is steep and sketchy in areas. If you’re visiting in winter, you will likely want 4-wheel drive.

Summary: We'll certainly want to come back. The road by the home was pretty quiet, especially in the evening. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by Boulder creek the most. The train nearby was barely noticeable in the quiet house. It was a very easy 45 minutes to the campus in Boulder.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful home! We loved watching the snow while in the hot tub! Would love to return when it isn’t snowing and have a chance to check out some of the trails and other things to do. Thank you for a much needed break away from it all!

Summary: We will so be back to this place! The hot tub was amazing and the sauna… I cannot say enough good things about the sauna on those cool evenings… We loved being able to be active during the day, grab a meal or some groceries in town, and then come back to this snowy retreat for some R&R, spa time, book reading, and card playing. Speaking of R&R, the railroad adjacent to the property was fun. Not everyone will like it if you are a very light sleeper or are looking for absolute quiet. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the trains go by and were completely unbothered by them. The beds are very firm, if that is what you prefer. We were warm and cozy with the fireplace in the main bedroom that will put out a lot of heat. The proximity of the home to Nederland was wonderful. We shopped for groceries there and enjoyed some Busey Brews BBQ (one of my favorites when driving through the area). The property manager, Bill, was very friendly. His pups greeted us, which made us feel better after having sadly left ours at home. And, he generously let us check out a little late when there was not another guest the next day. As I said, we will be back to this cozy retreat!
