Once Upon a Tide is a 4-bedroom very casual true beach house and sleeps up to 9 people with a sofa bed.
The Space:
Upstairs, you can locate a king-size bed in one of the bedrooms. There is an additional twin bed available in the same room. The other bedrooms are situated on the main floor, adjacent to the living room and kitchen. This stunning beach house boasts sweeping panoramic views and a spacious wraparound deck that will surely leave you captivated.
Have fun outside with the kayaks or stand up on a paddleboard. The water is fabulous. There’s also an outdoor shower and BBQ grill. Perfect getaway for families with children and your friends!
The WIFI is great, and there is a TV, games, books, and a 5-star restaurant right across the way, just walk over for a wonderful dining experience.
You’re so very close to the vineyards and the farm stands, Tanger Outlet Mall, Atlantis Marine World, Long Island Skydive, so many restaurants and so much more. There is also a spa close by for the perfect massage or facial.
Take advantage of the kayaks, and paddle boards to fully immerse in the beach experience.

Summary: 8 friends for a wine tour- we loved this property! Right on the beach, large areas inside to gather or find alone space. Lots of beds and several bethrooms to accommodate all. Would love to return to stay again!

Summary: The location was as described and wonderful, all other descriptions were misleading. The place was dirty e.g. food on couch, used band aids on floors, dead bugs, spider webs, and more. I reported the food on the couch but nothing happened. A very large trash container ( bigger than 2 large household trash barrels) was full to the point that items fell out when opened and another trash barrel was half full when we got there. The place is not luxury e.g.worn rugs, broken switches, windows and doors would not shut, junk everywhere, I could go on. One tv was completely broken (shattered screen) and was replaced the day after reported. It was not safe for children. Although it has two high chairs this house is not child safe. Child dangerous chemicals were at several locations, lamp cables were so frayed at the plug that they had to be unplugged, and more. The garage, where much of the outside furniture was stored, and was therefore unlocked, had a large plugged in circular saw that could run with the pull of a trigger, there was an aluminum door with the top window missing but still shards of glass around the edge of the missing window, the shelves were jammed full of paints and chemicals, and more. The heating system was noisy at night and settings would change independently (a preprogrammed Nest Thermostat?). A very big disappointment.

There were 9 of us ranging from 2 to 92 (and a dog) and we all fit comfortably in the “unique” sleeping arrangements. It worked great! My 92 m-in-l could sit at the end of the deck under an umbrella and watch her children/grandchildren/great grandchildren play at the beach just below! The paddle board and kayaks were great fun, as well. Beautiful sunsets each night! Great communication with host, as well.

The view is incredible and the house is very well laid out + fully stocked including outdoor toys. The host was communicative and checked in gently to make sure everything met our expectations upon arrival. The beach itself was filled with beautiful pebbles and shells - so be sure to bring water shoes or sandals for morning/evening walks.Will absolutely be back!

Summary: The house is directly on the beach as advertised with a beach playground within a five minute walk which was incredibly convenient and a hit for our little ones. The owners were super responsive when anything came up. There is a great restaurant nearby where we ate at and got takeout from as well as some other delicious food options close by. Being on the beach makes for the house itself to look and feel a little worn but that’s expected. The two bathrooms are on the smaller size but for our party of five it was fine. The location is what would bring me back. Thank you for a great stay!

Reviewer Comments: The house was perfectly placed at the beach-we all loved the open concept and views from the main living room. House was clean and comfortable for my family of 6 and to have guests as well. There is adequate dishes and utensils. There were a few hiccups; luckily there was a door left unlocked, because we could not figure out the lock box and how to get into the home. We did run out of propane for the grill a few days into the vacation, with no replacement tank. We tried communicating with luxury beach, but got no response. Maybe there should be a “service” number to get an immediate response...I’m not sure what we would have done had there been some sort of emergency. Overall a great experience!

Seeing the water from every window of the living room was a treat, and being able to walk just a few steps down to the beach was convenient, especially with little ones. The bedroom layout downstairs is a bit quirky but the spacious living area was a wonderful gathering place for our family. Debbie, one of the managers, was great to work with -- quick to respond and address any issues, friendly and kind, and really fun to get to know. Our family all agreed this was our best beach rental yet, and we look forward to returning again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Once Upon a Tide. We were a family of nine had plenty of space to sleep, ear, play games and hang out. We were lucky as the weather forecast was not good for our stay but we had sunny days and a little rain. We used the kayaks and paddle boards many times each day. We enjoyed the quiet beach and deck. The views from the house are beautiful. The sunsets were gorgeous and our last night there was a storm late at night with magnificent lightening over the water. We turned off alll the lights and watched it. The beds were comfortable and there was everything we needed to prepare meals in the kitchen. Spending time at this house makes me want a beach house of our own. We hope to return next year.
