Positive: Spacious kitchen, dining living room. Air fryer. Friendly village pub nearby and situated in a pretty village. Easy access to York via A19. It was well heated and warm when we stayed during a blizzard!
Negative: Could do with more glass wear, crockery and decent quality cutlery. Could do with a few more pots and pans.
Summary: A nice property, very reasonably priced.

Positive: Lovely little house with a beautiful kitchen.
Negative: The bed was a tad uncomfortable and felt like it may break at any moment, maybe that is just a hint for us to go on a diet! Some of the cutlery, pans and plates were not 100% clean in the kitchen. A load of hair was found in the bathroom draw and the bath had a bit of dirt in it. Seems as the cleaner may not be double checking things. Not a major issue but thought I'd bring it to attention for next time!

Positive: Much bigger than expected. Quirky with low doorways and sloping floors. Very peaceful village. Biscuits, crisps and milk provided. Friendly pub 5 mins walk away.
Negative: No shower gel or soap. Double bed is comfy but roll together.

Positive: the place was really easy to find. As we had dogs the secure patio on the front was great. There was a welcome basket with crisps, tea and coffee in plus sugar and biscuits, there was milk in the fridge. The oven and hob were huge. All rooms a really good size.
Negative: A bigger mirror in the bathroom would have been nice as was difficult to do makeup. I am guessing that something may have been spilt on the rug in the lounge at some point as the dogs were super interested in it and I had to move it to the utility room.
Summary: Wonderful place for an overnight stay, would definitely book again

Positive: The house was in a great location for visiting other places. We went to York, Cannon Hall Farm near Barnsley and to Harrogate to Betty’s Tea Rooms. Knottingley just a couple of miles away and there is a Lidl and Morrisons there which was great for provisions. The property had plenty of room and comfy clean beds and a great power shower. The kitchen had a fridge and freezer a large range oven. We used the hobs but didn’t need the oven as an airfryer was provided which was a great addition. Welcome pack with coffee/tea and biscuits was nice to find as was the fresh milk in fridge. Communication with the owner was great.
Negative: We found the tv in the lounge too small for the size of the room. The wall lights are very bright and a floor lamp or a table light for more ambient lighting would be a great addition. There was plenty of crockery, pans and utensils. The cutlery could do with being upgraded as the forks were so bendy and knives had very little cutting edge which proved problematic as we cooked steak one night and had to use the vegetable prep knives to cut it. A colander would be great for pasta or rice. The addition of some larger glasses for beer or cider would be great too. There were evolution plug in air fresheners which appeared to empty and were constantly flashing in dining room and on the landing. A night light in hall like the one in the twin bedroom would be good so as not to have to leave landing lights on all night to see to get to bathroom.
Summary: Good value property and good location for visiting nearby attractions. We would stay again if in the area or as a halfw
