Buena Vista Lodge is a one of a kind retreat, with nearly 10,000 square feet of lodge building on 3000 feet of private lake front. It also has over 70 acres of mature woods with hiking trails. Located on Pickerel Lake (1300 acres) with a connection to Crane Lake (400 acres) it offers a sandy swimming beach, fishing and boating right from the property and also has 7 double beds and 8 single beds for guest to utilize. It also has a private island to explore.
You will see Eagles, Loons, Deer, along with all the typical Northwoods wildlife including the occasional Fox or Bobcat.
BV Lodge is a four seasons private retreat. You are in the middle of the Best Northwoods snowmobile trails many of which start on Pickerel Lake. In addition there are ATV trails, Wolf river rafting, and some of the best cross country ski trails in the Northwoods at Lakewood, all within 45 minutes.
The Mole Lake casino is 10 minutes away in Crandon.

Summary: Our group of friends were getting together and wanted a place that had enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and general space for 16+ adults. This cabin and property did not disappoint. The place is huge and had everything you could need. The grounds were extremely large with flat grassy areas, parking, deck space, a gigantic kitchen, etc. I would highly recommend this property!

Summary: I’ve rented many places on VRBO, but Al was by far one of the best property managers and communicators. The property was excellent, clean, spacious, and had a fully stocked kitchen with all sorts of pans, dishes crockpots, etc. I would highly recommend, in fact, we’re already planning our stay for a family get together next year at the same property.

Summary: This place is amazing! Love the layout with the bar and kitchen on one level made socializing with everyone nice and convenient. The Dining Tables were great for playing table games (they have so many!). Plus the Ping Pong Table, shuffleboard, fuseball & pool gave you something to do all the time. They offer paddle boats & canoes including a nice dock with sand volleyball by the docks. The property itself is stunning & seen so many bald eagles. The little island attached was super cute & they have trails to walk around the property that was a huge plus! The bedrooms & bathrooms worked great & the bathrooms downstairs was extra plus! THIS IS A MUST BOOK! The rental manager was amazing to work with & had a couple issues on my end and he was so awesome. He followed up with us to make sure we could proceed and not to loose our weekend. Thank you!

Summary: We loved the placed! They had everything we needed! Caught large mouth bass, northern pikes! Paddle boats, kayaking, canoeing to the middle of the lake relax and peaceful! Water is super clear and can see in the bottom by the beach. Night time bonfire and s’mores looking @ the stars! Perfect weather of the weekend 80s in September! Inside the house beds were comfortable, bathrooms perfect for our large group of 20 to share bathroom with no problems. Kitchen is abundance of cookware sand dishes! Perfect trip for us because we didn’t want phones, internet, and TV! Thank God connection was bad!!! Great get away to shut the world and be with nature! What was provided was what we need this weekend! We loved it, will definitely bring our family, kids, and others to experience it! Thank you!!!

Summary: We stayed at the Pickerel Lodge over a long weekend for Labor Day. Everything was as advertised, communication with the owner was easy, and we had everything we needed at the lodge. Grocery store is about 30 min away which is great if you forget anything. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Holding a family reunion with family members ranging from age 8 months to 83 can be a challenge. Fortunately, this property accommodated everyone perfectly. Large and multiple bedded bedrooms were perfect for small families, while spacious beds and lake view bedrooms pleased grandma & grandpa! The private pier and bridge provided ample opportunities for the “fishing stories” to grow and grow. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the sprawling double patio deck provided: a morning coffee retreat, afternoon naps, and evenings spent watching the sunset surrounded by loved ones. The extensive and immaculately kept yard provided a play area for all the kids as well as the backdrop for memory making photos. Highly highly recommended (just not the week we will be there, because we will DEFINITELY be returning!) 😊

Summary: This lodge was great for a large group of adults we had for an ice fishing trip. The layout on the main floor is perfect for entertaining. Bedrooms are all clean and very spacious, nice linens. Alan was very responsive and offered many tips on local resources. Great stay in Winter and prob even better in summer. We would love to come back, hard to beat this place.
