4 bedroom, 3 full bath family cottage on a private secluded 2-acre lakefront lot.
Architecturally designed and built to feel a part of the landscape, the cottage has a small footprint while boasting 4 spacious bedrooms.
Features a master bedroom (King bed ), two more bedrooms upstairs (2 Queens) and a large guest bedroom on the main floor with a full bed and bunk beds.
Fantastic lake and forest views from all rooms. A full-size top-of-the-line kitchen containing a Miele oven, induction cooktop and dishwasher. Hi speed Wifi - NetFlix capable.
For summer:
100 feet of lake frontage with dock, perfect for swimming or paddleboarding. Another detached deck at the lakefront.
For fall and winter:
A cozy living room features a green wood-burning fireplace that can heat the cottage in addition to the in-floor heat. Nearby ski trails and the lake is used by many for ice-fishing.
We designed our cottage to have a more minimal impact on the environment than a traditional design. The cottage was designed to be heated with passive solar and a Trombay wall to reduce electricity usage, it is double plumbed (we turn on this feature for ease of use by guests) and we used low-emission flooring and paint, as well as wood, reclaimed from dutch elm disease.
We have lots of wild saskatoons, raspberries, hazelnuts and thyme on the property so we don’t use any pesticides on the outside of the cottage or the property. Our windows have more spider webs because of that decision, but we hope those who use our cottage are also trying to live more in sync with the environment and are willing to appreciate nature.
