1 Bedroom House in Vernon

Restored 1940's farmhouse in organic orchard overlooking Vernon. The fields around the house used to be full of Spartan apple trees so we will call it Spartan House ( a small grove of Spartans remain). The house is fully equipped with plenty of space for upto 8 guests. The main floor is open concept with kitchen, dining, living room and entrance area along with a bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. Upstairs has three bedrooms and another full bathroom.
There is a large patio off the dining room with a swimming pool available to guests over the summer months and a hot tub throughout the year. The pool deck is private and fenced with a cedar hedge. The front yard is also enclosed with a fence.
Over the next few years we will continue to expand the orchard by adding a food forest of fruit and nut trees.
We are located on 20 acres in the BX area 7 kms outside of Vernon BC. The Grey Canal trail borders the property extending for 50 kms along the hillsides of the valley and is great for biking, hiking, horseback riding and snow shoeing. BX falls is just a 3km hike along the trail from the house. Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre is 20 minutes drive up the hill and Silver Star Mountain Resort is a few minutes beyond that. Okanagan, Kalamalka, Swan lakes and 3 provincial parks are all near by.
Sean now operates 'Centred Pilates Studio' in the old packing house on the property and a Cidery with restaurant has recently opened about a kilometre down the road.

Summary: My spouse and I booked this property for a friends get away , with 2 other couples Beds were comfortable, kitchen amenities were all you needed , close enough to shopping and stores . Great place for my dog as the yard was fenced and lots of area to walk him. The pool was wonderful even though it was late in the year we did use it a few times, the hot tub was the star at this time of year and it was used continuously. Owners were friendly and accommodating, supplied everything we needed in a timely fashion . We would definitely stay here again . Thank you Patrick and Sean for the wonderful vacation experience!! Summary: We had a fantastic time at the house. Quiet and private property, yet near enough to town to be able to easily run in for a coffee in the morning. the pool was very well used, as was the hot tub, and our dog loved having the large fenced front yard to be free to run in. Such a great option to be able to let her run and have fun, while the rest of the family is enjoying the amenities. The house is a very nice size, clean and comfortable, well suited for a family. Our hosts were excellent, there was a bit of a concern over being able to travel here due to the fires, yet we were past the cancellation period; they told us not to worry, see how it goes, they would honour the cancellation if we couldn't make it.....Ive heard issues with other renters who didn't have such understanding hosts, it gives me so much more confidence in the integrity of Patrick and Sean. Highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: I stayed here with my siblings and it was a wonderful time! Twas a super fun family reunion. We grew up in the BX 1 km away from this house so it was wonderfully nostalgic! Big space to accommodate a big group and the pool was a super awesome add on! We also took advantage of the walking trails nearby to bx creek. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again, thanks!

Summary: We have been going to Spartan House for a few years and our grandchildren love the pool. They look forward to seeing the sheep travel by and are always on the lookout for deer. Great hub to visit the attractions in Vernon and Lake Country. Patrick is always ready to assist.

Summary: We had a fabulous time at Curlew Orchards! We rented both homes plus the cabin to accommodate a family reunion at the end of June. The setting is lovely with view of the orchard and nearby mountains. The home worked well for our group and we found what we needed in the kitchen. The washer and dryer (including detergent) were appreciated. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kids!!
