Summary: We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! The house was spotlessly clean, Eric went the house before we got there turned on the heat so it was warm and cozy on our arrival. Checked in to make sure we had arrived safely and liked the place. The house had everything we needed and everything was in working order. The bed was so comfy. A suggestion for future guests, bring a pair of binoculars as the little island directly across from the deck has an active eagles nest, seals in the waters surrounding and if you’re lucky like we were, porpoises. Watching the seagulls play in the tides of discovery passage and watching the birds and eagles catch fish was amazing. This property is peaceful and serene. We visited on shoulder season so not a lot of restaurants open, but we had anticipated that and brought groceries and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. We were a little disappointed that there was no hot tub, but we wrapped ourselves in a blanket and watched the evening sunset from the deck. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive, wonderful hiking trails and lakes for kayaking are only a little ways away. We brought our own kayaks. We will definitely come back to this little oasis, it was good for souls to be there. Thank you Eric!

Summary: My parents and I had THE MOST AMAZING stay! Eagles and seals playing out front in the sparkling water. The house is so comfortable and spacious, you feel at home. It’s also nice and quiet, so we slept very soundly. It is just a treat to sit on the deck and watch the activities on the water, it made it hard to leave the house and explore the island. I already am thinking about when I can come back!

Summary: Good host, good communication, beautiful West Coast view (sea lions, otters, eagles, orcas). Lacks comfortable patio furniture to enjoy it. Needs to update advertisement re hot tub and drinking water (not deal breaker, we’re supplied with bottled water. Bring your own paddle board or kayak.

Summary: Eric is a lovely host and his place is exactly as described (minus the hot tub but that’s not why we were there). The place is fully stocked and there wasn’t anything more we required. Quiet, peaceful location with the most amazing sunsets. The deck is fully enclosed which is great for kids/dogs. We’ll definitely be back!

Summary: Beautiful Place! Quick drive to the Ferry & very friendly host. Checking in was super easy. Eric met us at the grocery store near the ferry terminal (with his 2 beautiful labs) & showed us the way. It's about a 6 min drive & not hard to find. Roads get narrow though so you have to drive slowly. The view is amazing & the Cabin had everything we needed. We saw all sorts of wildlife, including orcas (twice) Wifi & internet connection was great. Eric was easy to get a hold of & very accommodating with any concerns/requests. He even had a gate made for the deck to accommodate our dog. (without us even asking, & was very appreciated) One day he brought us daffodils from his yard, which was so sweet. He was always a pleasure to deal with. Its not recommended to drink the tap water, but Eric Provided the 1st 2 jugs. We were there for a month so we refilled them ourselves at the grocery store. We were there during the off season (Spring) & the yard looked like it was in the process of being cleaned up for the summer, so there was a some untidiness but nothing that impeded on our experience. The dock & the ramp down need a little work & are quite slippery when wet. So would recommend caution when using. However, it was a great feature of the place & we used it to be picked up at when we went salmon fishing (Which Eric helped set up for us & Mark was a wonderful guide) and we chilled out on it a few times too. It was too cold for a swim while we were there. & the tide moves very quickly, like a little river in that spot. But you could us a SUP there if you wanted. The little island close by would be fun to check out. when the tide is slack you could probably swim around too. no ladder on the dock & no beach so just be careful. There are always seals, otters & eagles in the area, plus sea lions pass by often. The neighbors are really nice, & the Petersons' own a few other properties that they rent out along the same driveway. So you are not isolated, but still have tons of privacy & nature. Limited parking, but we managed to fit a truck & small SUV. April Point resort is close by. It was closed during our stay, but made for a really nice place to go for a walk & beachcomb. Be respectful & clean up after yourself (Dog/Kids). They are keeping tabs on the place & are very friendly & accommodating as long as you are respectful. Quadra Island is a beautiful place, with tons of hiking, places to eat, history, nature & friendly people. You wont want to leave.
