Positive: We have stayed at Ovation previously as it is so close to family we visit in Seddon. The apartment was much the same as previously with the same positives and negatives. It is on 9th Floor of an apartment building with excellent lifts from Ground floor and a secure parking spot . The building is well maintained and quiet neighbouring people in the apartment block. However it does sit right above railway line so there is some train noise inside. This means that the rail station is an easy walk and there are buses on front road. An A/C Living area is quite comfortable with sofa, good TV, dining table, desk and a tidy kitchen (full stove, dishwasher, m/w ,pantry, kitchen utensils, fridge -more on that later) . Good lighting. A functional laundry with small drying rack for outside patio ( no chairs ). Bed is soft and quite low with dreaded doona but fortunately also a blanket and extra pillows. Good wardrobe space. A lovely spacious bathroom and spacious shower with excellent supplies of toiletries. It is an easy walk to lovely Seddon with its quaint shops,( fabulous second hand book shop) and excellent variety of cafes, restaurants and cocktail bars and under the railway to the excellent Victoria Hotel restaurant. A small convenience store is at the road level of the building.
Negative: Disappointing to find the fridge had not been repaired or better still -not been replaced . This has been two years of neglect. The fridge is functioning but the freezer is not and the freezer door is quite dangerous. This really must be attended to. AS mentioned above the apartment sits over the Middle Footscray rail line/ station. We sleep with ear plugs but the trains do not run all night - about 6 hours of silence. But it does mean excellent transport.to city. As we are out so much the trains are not an issue for us , but could upset others. Parking spot is a little distant from the lift but manageable with wheeled suitcases. There is no reception, keys are easily collected from the little shop. Communication is excellent re arrival etc ( but not about fridge )

Positive: Good location. Communication with owner was good until we mentioned an issue with the door, it wouldn’t lock from the inside. Never heard from him again after that
Negative: Dodgy fridge. Obviously an old fridge with damage on the door. A note on the freezer not too open the door

Positive: The whole unit was very comfortable and relaxing. Mattress Laura Hill was amazing and only cheap to purchase.
Negative: Late check in had to find the lockbox to enter. Street was dark and dingey rather scaring for a female travelling alone. Footscray Melbourne bit of a rough suburb in my eyes certainly different from the Gold Coast.

Positive: The apartment is clean and spacious on the 9th floor of a block. The facilities are mostly good. The kitchen is well supplied with equipment and the lounge is comfortable. It is very secure. The parking is also very good, secure and under cover. There is an outside swimming pool on the first level. Although overlooking the rail lines it is not too noisy.
Negative: The freezer door was broken but ‘due for repair’. The fronts of the wardrobe drawers fall off when opened. Dangerous. My wife cut her hand. The bed is a bit saggy and the pillows need upgrading. No chairs for the outside balcony table. The remote for the garage door didn’t seem to work but you can still get in and out using the key tag.
Summary: Nice and spacious. Secure and mostly comfortable.
