Summary: There was mo balcony..but a nice porch that would be great for warmer weather. That cleaning staff is excellent and the room very cozy and comfortable..the fireplace "heater" added to the coziness..this establishment is walking distance to many wonderful mom&pop stores..great eateries and only a 1 mile beautiful walk to cannery row...this is my third time here snd i shall return..The Pacific Grove Inn is a littke gem!

Summary: The room was lovely. We were upgraded to stay in the Charles. We were treated to a wonderful breakfast each morning. The husband and wife team that were running the hotel and making the breakfast were fantastic.

Summary: We didn’t get there until after 11 PM and no one was there to let us in. We had to call a number in another country in order to be able to get the code and everything to get into the room. There were knobs off on the dresser and the top sheet was extremely work out & thread bare & needs be thrown away. We let the the Housekeeper know that. Definitely needs.

Summary: Not a problem if you don’t need to work from the room and enjoy no service when you check in. Last night had a tough check in. I called to self-check during the staffed hours in afternoon, want given the direct number to the staff, and got building code. However, the foreign call center rep didn’t ask for credit card for incidentals (room was pre-paid) and after hauling my three bags up 3 flights of stairs, had to to back down to call them again, then go back upstairs again with all my bags. I got to the inn by 10 pm and had to figure it where the room was, poor signage, and why the code wasn’t working out on my own. Then got up early (loud seagulls at 6 am) only to find out that coffee isn’t served until 8 am. No desk in room to set up my computer either. This is a bed n breakfast, not an inn. Recommend if you are older and have good knees, plan on just sleeping there and leaving early since check out is 10 am. Overall a frustrating, isolating experience that allows the owners to enjoy passive income.

Summary: The room was nice and we were in a great location. The place was filled with men visiting for car week, but most of the time they weren’t revving their cars and being obnoxious. Other than that, the place was quiet and nice. Although the manager told me they had no ice bucket or glasses, when we arrived, we discovered there were both. It was convenient for us to get more coffee and ice.

Summary: Great location and easy parking with walkable options for dining. So much to do! The only negative was there was no fan or air conditioning, so the room was stuffy at night.
