When you arrive, pull into the carport and step up to a generous front porch and cross the threshold into Paddock House. High ceilings, warm colors and lots of natural light are throughout.
Living areas are spacious and intimate. A comfortable living room is ready for lounging with TV work tables lighting and large windows with long views. The formal dining room has a vintage chandelier bar and drop-leaf table. Kitchen is equipped with a breakfast table and chairs
Three 3 simply-appointed private bedrooms including queen, full and full. Each room has overhead lights, work space, large windows, classic closets and gable-sloped ceilings. The bathroom is new: heated, tiled and well-appointed with towel bars, door hooks and natural light.
The full-service kitchen is stocked with the basics. Cook yourself a great Ithaca meal. The kitchen leads to a large 3-season room that overlooks the large fully-fenced yard & garden.There's steps down and a wood-railed access ramp leading to the carport. Guests and pets enjoy the generous backyard space with peace and privacy.
Within a few blocks of Paddock House are coffee shops, yoga studios, breakfast diner, restaurants, drug and grocery stores, playgrounds, parks and laundromats. Stroll along nature trails on Ithaca’s waterfront. Walk to the downtown Commons, the Ithaca Farmers Market, Stewart Park and more. Summary: Paddock House was really nice for our family vacation (2 adults, 2 kids under 8). The location can’t be beat! We were close to everything and appreciated the walkable neighborhood. Michael was super attentive and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend. Stay here!

Summary: Paddock house was a lovely, comfortable, and spotlessly clean vacation home in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Ithaca. The host Michael was accessible and helpful. The location is great for families - walking distance to restaurants, playgrounds, and museums. Would stay here again!

Summary: The Paddock house was excellent for this business trip to Cornell University. Close to Campus and downtown. Charming, spacious property! Communication with Michael was easy and on time. Everything worked just fine. Highly recommended for writing retreats and family visit to Campus.

Summary: Quaint 1920's Ithaca home with lots of original charm. Very thoughtfully appointed. Host is great - communicative, responsive, kind. Easy walk to coffee, food, and the falls. There is a ramp leading out to the backyard which was great for our elderly dog. We stayed there with our 4yr old son and he had a blast; he's still talking about "the vacation house" days later.

Summary: Paddock House is a restored older home in the historic Fall Creek section of Ithaca. Easy parking in the driveway. The house is located on a quiet, tree-lined street with many charming homes; the neighborhood overall has an artistic, bohemian vibe and is very walk-able. It was an easy (and flat) walk to lovely Ithaca Falls, coffee shop, restaurant and Farmers Market, and was an easy drive to main streets connecting to downtown Ithaca, Cornell, and Cayuga Lake. Inside, the home has an eclectic mix of old as well as modern furniture. Beds were very comfortable, with high-end linens & towels. We didn't cook during our visit, but the kitchen appeared to be equipped with all the equipment needed. The fenced-in back yard was great for our dog! Owner Michael was extremely responsive and was super-helpful in sharing ideas on places to go in the area. We did run into some challenges with WiFi connectivity, but Michael helped with a short-term fix and he is working on a longer-term solution. The outside weather dropped to mid-30s for 2 of the nights we were there and upstairs did get cold, but it was comfortable once outside temps returned to 'normal'. Overall it was a fun place to stay for our visit to the Fingerlakes region!

Summary: The property was nice and comfortable. Fairly close to places we wanted to go. Fenced in backyard for our dogs. Michael gave us some tips on navigating popular spots. We had internet/tv issues so movies and football were nearly impossible to watch. Micheal tried to remedy it. Cell service also spotty here.
