Summary: You get what you pay for and this is proof. The Hotels dot com site shows updated pictures which make you think..well ok..probably all right. Not so much. A few things have been updated but not the entire room. The place is old which I really don't mind but it's not kept up. Entering the lobby, there is an offensive smell. I can't place it but it was my first sign to leave..but room was paid for and nothing near by. Enter room and a dark musty aroma hits you. We turned on every light and that helped relieve the dark dreary appearance. Furnitire is old and abused...we went to sit at the table in our room to eat take out...and the chair seats were filthy with mud. The sheets were dingy and worn..just not comfortable. I really should have known better..just figured no breakfast, off the beaten path, so its cheaper.. The bathroom featured a nice new vanity with waterfall faucet but the rest of the bathroom was pure 60s. Mildew in the bath and thin old towels. I will say..the newer large flat screen TV worked well and the AC cololed the very large room. Neither of us rested well...we were up at 6 and gone by 7. Parking is well lit but security questionable. There were 30+ rooms on the open front side of the building with parking by the door...we were given a room off the main area, down a dark passage way and out of site of our vehicle...just sketchy. This was the last night of a 5 week trip....this is my only bad experience in 5 weeks. I have pictures not sure if they will post

Summary: Overall the hotel was as expected. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was cleanish, though we found some stains on bed spreads. We didnt look closer to see if old or new from not washed. Id recommend if you are passing through as we were.

Summary: We stayed 1 night, got in late after driving all day. Staff were very friendly. We had a double queen room and it presented just as advertised. Room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. We liked the room we booked and were happy with it. This is an older hotel which the owners are working on modernizing. The water temp in the bathroom sink didn’t get very warm, but was fine in the shower. Strange to have happen, but not a deal breaker, though we probably should have mentioned it upon check out and forgot in case the owners needed to have that checked. There are very bright overhead can lights over the bed and tv for the room and only one lamp. For us personally, we would prefer a lamp beside the bed or a dimmer switch on the can lights as we aren’t fans of really bright lights, especially over the bed. However, the lighting is our personal preference on this. The room only had one bedside table which had us trying to come up with a solution for the other side since we each charge devices at night and use our phones for alarms and it’s convenient to have them on a table beside the bed. Went to get ice for the first time on a stay and never found a scoop for the machine. Not sure if there’s not one or if someone left it inside and it got covered up. Will just try to work around that on future stays. Fridge, microwave, and mini coffee machine in the room work great and are much appreciated to have. Overall the spaces are relatively clean and kept. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Overall space of the room is nice. Area is typically quiet and we have enjoyed our stays each time we have stayed. We will be staying again in the future.

Summary: Can’t complain for the price. I feel it should be a bit cheaper since there’s no breakfast but from an overall experience, I’d go back when I’m in De Queen. It gets the job done!
