Summary: This is an A+ hotel outside of Bilbao near the harbor beach, the rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. The 2 person shower room is very luxurious. The staff is very welcoming and the service is superb. We had an electrical issue (the lighting would not turn off correctly) and the engineer fixed it very promptly. The breakfast spread is one of the best I've encountered in a long time, and the welcome drink on the terrace, ovlooking the harbor was a very nice touch. We were there during the outset of the heatwave, and the pool is very refreshing. There clearly is a water cooling syst to keep it that way and I suspect it can also heat the water in cooler weather. If you are in Bilbao and don't mind paying up a bit, this hotel should be on your list.

Summary: Stunning property. Beautifully designed and renovated. Unfortunately the level of detail that they gave to the building has not extended to the service provided. Mostly unattentive staff, however, it seems to be that it is ingrained culturally because it is more than just an isolated incident, it’s part of the overall experience at the hotel. There is no feeling of luxury apart from the building itself, no experience beyond the beauty of the Palace. Pool service was almost inexistent, terrace service very deficient. They seem to be very reliant on events and not very much into providing guests with an ultimate enjoyment in Getxo.

Summary: It is a very nice property. The staff at the reception were very attentive, professional and welcoming. At the bar and restaurant the food was good, but the staff there was unprofessional and with lack of manners. We didn’t expect to have this kind of bad service at the restaurant in a hotel like this one.
