Positive: The location is very good, but directions to the hotel car park should be provided in advance. This is essentially a house, not a hotel. As a house it is beautifully decorated and the interior design content is stunning.
Negative: The property had several issues for us. The breakfast is overpriced for what is provided. It looked 'pretty' but it lacked real substance and content. My wife decided to miss breakfast and asked me to take a pastry to the room. However I was told we are not allowed to eat in the room! Essentially this is a very expensive B& B

Positive: The place is exceptional! The rooms are large and spectacularly decorated with unique furniture and interesting art. The co managers Clara and Lisa were very helpful providing whatever we needed, even guiding us to the parking garage in a rainstorm. Lisa walked us to a restaurant one evening to make sure we got there and were able to get in.Best hotel we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot!

Positive: Everything, warm, welcoming, luxurious. We got to meet the owner Marc Antoine, who sat with us for breakfast, you must ask him to play the piano. And then the was lovely Lisa who stayed awake as we arrived really late, and she was nice enough to come out and direct us to the hotel. The hotel is magnificent, packed with history and filled with beautiful antiques of every era, tastefully curated with a lot of love by the owner. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Will return soon.

Positive: This was a truly unique experience to stay in a newly renovated monastery. It has a truly authentic feel and unique touch with special art, and all located very centrally to everything that you need in town. This was also a great location to be able to visit other villages in the area. We loved the pool and the staff was excellent.
Negative: We would have loved a little bit more in terms of breakfast selection. (We stayed 5 days!) other than that, I cannot recommend Palais enough!

Positive: The bathroom in our room (Mondrian) was amazing. It was huge with a giant tub that easily fit two. The room itself was also massive and was well-appointed with a view of the courtyard. The stone stairwell was impressive and Tomas took our bags to our room so we didn't have to carry them ourselves. Tomas was super friendly and had a lot of great information for us about the town.
Negative: The breakfast was the same every day - it could have more variety.
