Positive: New small boutique hotel in the historic town. Mdina doesn’t have too many options for higher end accommodation but it is much better experience to stay there than in the nearby town of Rabat.

Negative: Guests should be warned ahead that the taxi can’t reach the hotel and they will have to arrive by foot. It’s not a long walk but it would be nice to know ahead of time. I “huge” shortcoming is the fact that if you ask for water during your already prepaid breakfast they ask you to pay for it!! I’ve paid over 200 euros for the room already! The hotel is new (in the old palazzo) and very clean. The place is very nice but, in my opinion, overpriced.

Summary: Do not expect high end luxury hotel. This is a very small hotel. No night staff, no room service.
