Positive: The property was beautiful, the room spacious, comfortable and had great AC (when it was 40c outside). The breakfast was all we needed and the charcouterie boards delicious. Plenty of space to park and in beautiful surroundings. The team at the hotel were great, friendly, chatty and knowledgable.
Negative: The property was a little out of the way and at the top of a steep single track road which was very scary. The staff did provide an alternate route back down the road (pretty much the other direction). If you didn't have a car I'm not sure what you would do for food in the evening as there isnt a local taxi service.. A suggestion may be the staff provide an evening meal (just a picnic or packed meal upon request?) Once the staff have left at 1800 your pretty much on your own. So a stocked mini bar or an honesty bar would have been handy? Perhaps a bottle of their delicious wine too?? There isnt any real place to relax during the day if you dont want to go out or dont have a vehicle. Again perhaps some more comfortable seating could be made avaialable??
Summary: Lovely place for a short break, needs a little more luxury for those who want to stay during the day

Positive: The Nicolis family made this visit extra special for us. It was the first night of a 12 day trip around Italy and was our favourite place to stay, we’ll definitely be back! The personal touch from Susanna and her family, the wine, charcuterie, art tour. The rooms are fantastic (we saw a number). The care, dedication and passion that has gone into restoring the property.
Negative: The only thing missing is a pool, which will hopefully be on coming in the next year or two.

Positive: One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. The building is fascinating - we had a tour of the grounds and learned about each of the frescos. The vineyard is lovely - highly recommend the wine tasting. Helpful and friendly staff.
