Positive: Pools were perfect temperature & very clean. Food at restaurants was really good. I left my debit card & cash in a small wallet in our room & we called right after check-out. The front desk had housekeeping check right away, which was much appreciated & they held the items for me until I was able to pick it up. Exceptional service.

Negative: Apple Pay not accepted for additional fees, security deposit, etc. so that was a bit inconvenient, other properties accept that form of payment. I feel Apple Pay is more secure than traveling with a physical card. $50 parking is high.

Positive: The location is unbeatable! Tye grounds are beautifully kept and you feel like you're in a whole different world! Tye location is convenient! The bay and beach are very well well kept! The ponds, trees and landscaping are gorgeous! All of the staff, security, landscapers, restaurant staff, front desk, housekeeping, even maintenence are super friendly!

Negative: The rooms and everything in them are extremely outdated! With the amount of revenue the property brings in from the boat and water rentals, store sales, special experiences, restaurants, and room rates theses guest rooms shouldve been updated long ago especially considering how long this property had been in business! Everything from the uncomfortable beds and bedding, couch and decor and especially those outdated motel 6 air conditioning units is very unappealing and uncomfortable! The onky reason we didn't leave early and fi d other accommodations is because we didn't spend much time in the guest rooms themselves and we booked as a group with 3 other parties plus as I stated the grounds, activities available and location are hands down the best! It's sad that the rooms are so outdated another suggestion I would make is maybe a "fresh" dining option or even something like a smoothie stand that offers fresh fruit and vegetable salads, smoothies and teas or something like that, I mean it is San Diego! We will probably stay again IF one of the upgraded guest rooms is available or if some upgrades have been made to tye rooms entirely.

Positive: Great location right at the beach. We loved the fire pits at night. Pet friendly so we could bring our dog.

Negative: We asked for 2 rooms together to be beside our kids and even though we messaged early and had been in communication with them; when we arrived this request was not considered. The common areas in front of our units were tired and need attention. Housekeeping is on request and they seemed to do their best to try not to clean the rooms. At one point they knocked on the door and by the time I had answered they were back in their cart and heading away. It’s expensive for what you get and the service is not where it needs to be.

Negative: I stayed at this property for one night while attending a business meeting. Prior to moving to Paradise Point, I had spent four nights at The Dana on Mission Bay. Unfortunately, my experience at Paradise Point was disappointing. The room had a noticeable musty, mold-like odor, and the furnishings appeared outdated. The bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioning unit did not function properly. Despite lowering the thermostat, the room remained hot and humid throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. In addition, I was charged an unexpected resort fee of approximately $53. This fee was not disclosed when I made my reservation through Booking.com, and I had already paid the full amount at the time of booking. I checked in during the afternoon and checked out at 5:00 a.m. the following morning. My total stay was approximately 14 hours, primarily for work purposes, and I did not have the opportunity to use any of the resort amenities. Given these circumstances, I was disappointed by both the accommodations and the additional charge.

Positive: Rooms were nicely renovated, beds and pillows very good. Good restaurants. This resort has great landscape but upkeep neglected. Was probably wonderful in its day. Expected more for the money.

Negative: Sheets were like sandpaper, Very rough. Badly needs safety bars in bathroom! Clean up dead foliage. Was a bad smell in room when first arriving…our room was dirty and had to be cleaned again. Staff was very responsive.

Summary: We ended up enjoying our stay but first impression was not good. Would only take some minor upgrades
