Summary: Property was lovely and very large with grea views. Restaurant and bar area lovey, attentive staff and wonderful selection of food. A drive from centre of Lorca but that was easy.

Summary: Check in was good. Unfortunately a strong smell of what seemed like sewage in the entrance. There had been heavy rain recently so maybe why? We booked a Junior Suite which was two huge rooms. Front room was a little bare but had a big sofa bed and a small TV. Bedroom felt warmer and had a nice four poster bed and another TV. Bathroom excellent with a nice shower and jetted bathtub. Bathrobes and towels were of a good quality. We booked half board which is worth it. Excellent dinner with huge portions that were nicely presented and great quality. Patience is needed as our dinner started at 8.30pm and ended at 10.55pm. Pricing for wine and drinks was very good with excellent wine. We did not use the pool. Views are amazing even on a rainy day. The area of Lorca below is quite modern and built up. I had thought it was in more of a rural area. Parking is free and during the hot summer months has shaded screens. Overall would be happy to stay here again

Summary: Excellent location at the Castillo. Good sized room, very clean. Very comfortable mattress. The main problem is the town is far below and hard work to walk to and from. For this reason we ate in the hotel restaurant as we couldn't face another walk up the hill. In fact it turned out to be an exceptional restaurant.
