The Park Hotel Suisse & Spa is a family-run hotel with traditional design. Located in the city center of Chamonix, it offers a roof-top spa with a panoramic view over the Mont Blanc. The spa includes an outdoor swimming pool & 2 hot tubs, two saunas, Turkish bath, massage rooms and a relaxation room. Also on the roof top our summer bar ! The spa includes a sensory shower. Access to our spa is not available before check-in and after check-out. Access to the spa is included in each of your reservations subject to availability, maximum capacity of 40 people. Children from 3 years to 16 years old are allowed at the SPA only from 10h30 to 12h30, but only under supervision of an adult and in accordance with our spa being a place for well-boing. Children under 3 years Old are forbidden at the spa. The hotel has comfort rooms, superior rooms and standard rooms. All have a mountain view and most have a balcony. They are equipped with a private bathroom, separate toilet, hairdryer, mini bar, satellite TV, telephone and safe. A buffet breakfast is served daily. Guests can enjoy the hotel shaded terrace and order a selection of drinks and snacks from the bar. Happy hours are available from early evening, cocktails and plates of regional specialties, including a selection of cheeses and cold cut meats, can be served. The hotel features a fitness center with a rowing machine, a treadmill, an exercise bike, a cross-trainer and weights. Gym classes are available for an extra charge. The Park Hotel Suisse is opposite the Tourist Information Office and only 164 feet from the bus stop, where shuttles take guests to all ski elevators in Chamonix.

Negative: We were a couple and a child. The photos of the room I booked didn’t match the room we got, there was supposed to be a separate private bed enclosure and instead our daughter’s bed was a couch in our room. In addition we picked this hotel mainly for the beautiful view we can enjoy from the rooftop jacuzzi - our favorite feature about this hotel. Unfortunately the night we were there the jacuzzi was barely warm (like pool temperature really) making the experience unworthy and unpleasant. When being charged over 500 euros for one night, I expect the full facility to be in proper running condition - else let the customer know in advance and offer some level of compensation. This was very disappointing.

Positive: The property was located centrally and had excellent views from the spa facilities. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable.
Negative: The spa was the highlight of the stay, however, there were many guests walking around with their phones taking videos in the saunas, hot tubs and shared areas. This is extremely off putting and will deter me from returning. Whilst I appreciate guests wish to capture the beauty of the view, filming whilst other guests are dressed in bathing costumes is hugely inappropriate. Whilst the location of the property was extremely convenient, the parking charge was an additional, unexpected cost that was again, quite off putting.
Summary: A hotel with a view but only for a short, passing visit.
