Positive: The location is excellent and the host is responsive and kind. A lift would be handy, as there are many stairs, but it’s manageable. We could watch street performers right from the windows, yet the bedrooms were quiet at nighttime. Overall, an excellent experience.
Negative: More blankets would be great to avoid turning on the heat during the day.
Summary: We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Shahid provided detailed instructions to retrieve the apartment keys. Unfortunately, 3 of us had a flight delay so my son flew in from a different location and arrived before the rest of the family. I messaged Shahid, who then communicated all details and follow ups thru my son which was great. Yes, there are several flights of stairs to the apartment (it's at the top of the building), but it's listed in the description. Wasn't a big deal for us, as if you can walk to all the sites in Edinburgh, stairs add to the physical activity and enjoyment of this walkable city!!! Apartment is very clean, secure with the best location....We walked all over the City of Edinburgh and to all of it's fantastic sites. Highly recommended place to stay!!
Negative: A single bathroom for a family required some scheduling but we managed to work it out. Also, the combination washer/dryer took a bit research on YOUTUBE to determine how to wash & dry in one operation, but it definitely was nice to have for cleaning clothes for the time we were there.
Summary: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO STAY HERE!!!! Very Large Apartment and the Best place to Stay in Edinburgh!!

Positive: The owner was extremely friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. The location can't be beat. Very large space, comfortable.
Negative: Everything was excellent but there is no elevator to the 3rd floor of where the apt is, so this could be difficult for some people (not uncommon though for apartments in an old city).

Positive: We absolutely loved the location. It was so nice to walk out the door and be ON the Royal Mile, just steps away from the castle. The coffee shop right next door was also a plus for breakfast on the days that we were there. Being in a location for a few days with kitchen space was also very nice. We were able to wash a few loads of clothes but be very mindful that you make the loads very small and that you start soon after arrival so that the clothes are ready to go with you! The kitchen had all the cleaning supplies readily available so I didn't have to use what I brought!
Negative: The only thing that was a negative for us and, while it would not have kept us from renting, it would have been nice to be prepared, was the three flights of stairs to get to the apartment and then the one flight down!
Summary: We would pack lighter to come back and visit while staying here!

Positive: The apartment is big and beautiful. It's a classic with every modern amenity. The location couldn't be better, tours were literally stopping at the doorstep. You are within walking distance from every museum, attraction or pub.
Negative: I didn't love the three long flights of stairs. For us, it was worth it, but this should be very clear in the apartment description because I'm sure many travelers will not be able to climb them. Also, finding the keys was not an easy task.

Positive: This apartment is absolutely FANTASTIC!! It is located right in the middle of the Royal Mile and the view from the apartment is of the hustle and bustle of the street below. There were bagpipes playing and lots pf entertainment from the street artists and all the tourist excursions/ castle/ bus tours/walking tours are in very close proximity. The area has so many bars, cafes and restaurants and it is only a short walking distance between the old and new town. A great location which I highly recommend.
Negative: There were 6 flights of stairs to the apartment which would be an issue for those with mobility issues.
Summary: A fantastic stay in a beautiful apartment right in the middle of Edinburgh's Royal mile and Old town

Positive: This is a beautiful property, decorated with taste and catering to everything you could possible need.
Negative: The 5 flights of stairs to reach the property. There was no lift but thankfully we did not have a lot of luggage. Anybody arriving with 20/25kg cases would find it hard.

Positive: The location was amazing. Lovely large apartment. Very comfortable.
Negative: The shower room could do with being redecorated. The shower arm couldn’t be raised up as the thread had gone. It worked fine however.
