Positive: Dear Mao, Thank you for hosting us during our recent stay. As someone who works in the hotel industry and travels frequently—staying in a range of accommodation from budget to high-end—I wanted to offer some honest, constructive feedback to help you improve the guest experience moving forward. --- Booking & Pre-Arrival Experience I booked through the Booking.com app, which unfortunately displayed limited information compared to the full website. The listing showed a Queen bed + Sofa bed for two guests. A note stating the sofa bed was only for a third guest was unclear on the app. The day before check-in, you contacted me to arrange key pick-up. I also requested the sofa bed be made up. You advised of a $50 fee for the sofa bed, which was not mentioned on the app. However, after discussing, you kindly waived the charge, which I appreciated. Communication throughout was clear and timely. --- Check-In Process You personally met us in the foyer and helped my sister and me with our luggage, which was thoughtful. However, during the check-in walkthrough, you collected personal laundry from the machine. As a former hotel cleaner, this felt a bit unprofessional, and I purchased cleaning products to run a cycle before using the machine myself. --- Apartment Conditions & Comfort The apartment itself was basic and suited to a budget stay, which was expected, but a few things could be improved: The sofa bed could not be folded up due to a wooden modification and had missing springs, making it unusable as a couch. Sheets smelled strongly of bleach, which was overpowering. Cleaning did not meet typical hotel standards, despite being located in a Mantra building. The shower curtain was torn and held together with sticky tape. Only 1 pillow per guest was provided, with one spare in the cupboard. The kitchen allowed for light cooking, but there were insufficient utensils—I purchased a few and left them behind for future guests.

Positive: The property is only exceeded by the Host! Mao is most helpful. He met us downstairs and gave us our keys. He even made arrangements for us to leave our bags in the unit while we went shopping. The unit is most comfortable and in an excellent location. TV in lounge and also bedroom. Easy walk to ferry for trip to Circular Quay, and even easier back by train! Westfield shopping nearby with plenty of places to eat. A glass of wine on the verandah to look at the world going by. Even see Centrepoint tower in the city! Even though is near trains etc, the unit was very quiet ad comfortable.
Negative: One complaint though. Wish we had stayed longer!
