2 Bedroom Cottage in Crossing Rocks

Parrots Perch at Long Beach is a charming cottage. Abaco Parrots stop at or around the property many mornings and evenings. The Long Beach community has a miles long pink hued sand beach for you to enjoy. Walking south you will come upon Crossing Rocks where you can collect sea glass and shells. Walking north you can take a private path to a secluded cove beach with more shells, fishing, snorkeling, and can continue to Schooner Bay. In addition to the beach there are bonefish flats just across the Abaco Highway with a boat launch area into the marls. There is a great fishing spot on Long beach where grouper, snapper, trigger fish can be caught without leaving the development.
This cottage is recently re-launched on the VRBO platform after renovations. We look forward to hosting you.
The home is 2 bedroom, 1 bath with full kitchen, living room, and laundry, outdoor shower as well as a large deck overlooking the garden. The garden is full of flowering plants, coconut palms, and avocado trees. We have installed a two person hammock and a hammock swing in the yard. Relax and enjoy the birds and ocean sounds in the shade.
This cottage is 28 miles south of Marsh Harbour’s airport (MHH) in South Abaco. It is a short walk from the front door (5-6 min) directly to the beach.
The cottage is an easy drive from Marsh Harbour (as there is only one main road on the island running end-to-end) but some may consider it remote as driving is a must and the island is not built up with commercial hotels, restaurants and shopping. We enjoy the downtime away from the stresses of the world while on Abaco. Take a deep breath, turn off your phone and grab a good book and relax in the hammock or at the beach.

Please note this is not a 5-star resort but a private residence which is well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The beach is beautiful but not manicured like a resort. This is the real Bahamas. Stay relaxed and enjoy the experience in South Abaco.
A rental car is highly recommended for Abaco.

Summary: Parrots Perch Cottage was perfect for us. We totally enjoyed our stay in the small, private community. Giving us an idea of what it would be like to live on the island. A very short walk to the beautiful, quiet, private beach. The neighbors are very friendly. Jason & Christine were always available and quick to respond to all our questions, before, during and after our visit, even though they were not on the island. The cleaning lady even stopped in to make sure everything was to our liking. Parrots Perch has everything you need for your stay! We will definitely return!

Summary: Parrots Perch was amazing. The cottage was probably the most clean tropical property we've stayed at and had everything we needed. Communication was excellent - Jason reached out ahead of time to make sure we were aware of a holiday and the potential for stores and restaurants to be closed when we first arrived and his caretaker graciously did shopping for us in advance. The beach!! Just stunning! The sand was soft, the water was clear and SO warm. Half the time we had it all to ourselves. We took day trips to Little Harbor and Treasure Cay and explored the more southern area of the island as well. If you're looking for a laid-back, relaxing vacation in paradise, this will definitely do!

Summary: We had such an amazing time at Parrot's Perch! We would highly reccomend staying there The cottage was in excellent condition, very clean, and had all the amenities needed for our stay, and more! The hosts were excellent, and very accessible and easy to communicate with There is so much to do in the area, We would rent again in the future for sure!
