Positive: Good location on the river. Staff very friendly, and outside cafe. Room size exceptional, but as a converted Manor house somewhat unusual in decoration.

Negative: Swimming pool closed as middle of October, even though 27C. Also the pianos in property need turning- all badly out of key.

Positive: Beautiful old building with architectural conversion to give stunning large rooms, with views across the estuary. Calm, peaceful location, and the swimming pool meant a relaxing swim after our walk.

Negative: Isolated location and our out of season stay meant that with no restaurant on site, it’s a further walk out to get food for the evening.

Summary: Beautiful location and building, but be prepared for remote location or further walk unless you have transport.

Positive: The breakfast was good with a good selection, fresh fruit and cooked option of eggs. The decor downstairs is nice and modern. The outdoor areas would be lovely on a better weather day!

Negative: The facilities being closed such as the restaurant and this was not advertised beforehand. The property is in need of some serious tlc. The bathroom was awful - the wood was mouldy, stained, chipped - not sure who thought wood was good for a bathroom! Rooms need renovating.
