Fish, boat, hike, swim and all the amenities to make for a fun and comfortable stay.
20 minutes from I-95 to our dirt road. 132 acres of privacy, includes four lakes and access to the Satilla River. Cabin sleeps 7, has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, comfy living spaces, and Wi-Fi.
The Space
Imagine canoeing around our private lake, watching the sunset or hiking through the woods on our private trails and enjoying the peaceful sounds of wildlife. Go fishing from the shore or take out one of the fishing boats. Enjoy coffee and a book on the wide front porch.
When you arrive at the cabin (the red roof) you will walk up steps onto a wide wrap-around porch. When inside you will find an open floor plan. The main level has a dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and large walk-in closest. The living room area has a pull-out sofa, three chairs, and smart tv.
To get to the loft you will ascend a beautiful spiral staircase and find one double bed and 4 singles. there is also a cozy place set up in the loft for watching tv or reading.
After a long day of playing and exploring, relax and unwind around the fire pit on the front patio as you watch the sunset while taking in the breathtaking views.
You are free to explore the property and have access to the lake, boats, fishing (we have a few extra poles if you need one), pool, and more.
Easily explore the Golden Isles and the Low Country. 30 minutes to Brunswick. 40 minutes from St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. 1 hour and 15 minutes from Savannah and Jacksonville. Close to Cumberland Island and the Okefenokee Swamp.
Guest access
Guests will be provided with a temporary pass to a private boat ramp on the Satilla River for the duration of their stay.
Our home is also on the property (the brown house in the pictures). We respect your need for privacy, but also welcome interaction. We are able to respond quickly to issues if any should arise. We offer some shared amenities, including a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and eating spaces, and our well-stocked board game library.
Some important things to note:
1. You must be able to climb stairs to stay in the cabin.
2. We are on well water and the water in this area has a sulfur smell. We prefer not to drink and imagine you probably feel the same. We provide drinking water for the duration of your stay.
3. On rare occasions the property floods and some areas may be unavailable. Be sure to check with us prior to booking.
4. Pets are permitted but we have 3 outdoor cats and 4 children that roam the property. Please make sure your pets are friendly and house trained.

Summary: My father, son, and I had a great time. We spent several days on the property fishing on the private lake. We caught a bunch of fish and I would certainly recommend this property for anyone who just wants to get away for a few days on private property with there own lake to fish on! The house was nice and clean and was stocked with all basic necessities as described. With a local grocery store a mile away.Host lives on property with there children and were a pleasure to interact with at various times during our stay. I would certainly recommend staying here for anyone who needs a weekend getaway and a fishing rod in there hand. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Summary: This is a 10/10 place, loved everything about it the host is very kind they truly make sure you’re comfortable! The walk to the lake is beautiful you can watch the sun set and rise and very pet friendly if your dogs like to run outside in an open field we will be back!!!

Summary: House was as described, clean and had amenities such as pack n play and high chair which are helpful. Well water was not unbearable. Beds comfy. Property was beautiful to explore, not hard to find and there is a grocery store and a couple of places to eat close. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Helped us find things to do close with our kiddos. Definitely will be staying again

Summary: such a beautiful property! Our hosts were amazing & so communicative! Their cabin is beautiful and spacious and comfy. Their property is safe and quiet. Their pool is amazing and clean with a water slide and jumping board; they have a covered pool house too! We can’t wait to stay here again.

Summary: This was one of my favorite VRBO stays. The property was so refreshing. I took several long walks and didn't want to come back to the cabin it was so pleasant. A grocery store is less than 10 minutes away. The cabin was nice too. We enjoyed movies and the provided games. The neighnorhood felt safe and accessible (though I took it slow with my little Prius) but was still defintely out in nature and off the beaten path. The host stays next door and is friendly, helpful and responsive. Looking ut the windows to the grass, trees, garden beds and chickens just was like medicine to my soul. It was a lovely time. Thank you guys! (Do note the spriral staircase to the loft area where the beds are. It's really cool, but I don't recommend if you're later in pregnancy or have trouble climbing stairs or naivgating tight spots.)

Summary: This was the second time we have rented this cabin. It’s off the beaten path but yet not to far from convenient places to eat and grocery shop. With a private lake, boat, abundant fishing and a fire pit the stress of daily life seems to melt away. Not to mention plenty of space to let our dogs run too. Ryan, our host, was outstanding and anything we needed or had a question about, got back to us within minutes. Thanks for your hospitality we truly enjoyed our stay. See you next year Ryan and family!

Summary: If you are looking for a place to just relax and enjoy some time away from everyday life this is it! Five of us stayed there for 4 nights on vacation. All the amenities of home, beautiful lakes to fish plus river access. One mile from Grocery store etc. The host Ryan is awsome and will check in via email during your stay to insure that you have everything you need. Great place to get away!

Summary: Pros: It's a nice property, cabin was clean, no bugs or pests at all, lots of open space to explore, nice usable boat, good fishing, cabin is elevated, has a fire pit, owners are very available and helpful, we felt very safe on the property. Owners left us to do our own thing. Negatives: It is in visual range of the owner cabin and not isolated as we wanted. Also the sulfuric water was not pleasant. Overall we were happy with our stay. Thank you.
