Summary: The cottage was the perfect location for everything we were doing on the island. It was plenty of room for our family of 4. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. I’d highly recommend and stay again!

Summary: Our stay was for 9 days. The house was spotlessly clean.It’s very comfortable with many ammenities, especially in the kitchen. A drawback is that there’s no interior dining table. The outdoor picnic table is good, as long as it’s not raining. The kitchen counter indoors seats only 2, so that’s a drawback.There was a huge, violent storm our fourth night that knocked out power and internet to the entire island.Power was restored quickly, but we were without internet for 5 days, although friends who live in another area there got theirs back after 24 hours (they have Xfinity).Overall, it was a very nice stay and we would recommend this home to other visitors.

Summary: We spent a week birdwatching on Dauphine Island. It was wonderful to have such a comfortable home as home base after a long day of walking and hunting for bird sightings.

Summary: House was clean. Plenty of dishes/kitchenware. I enjoyed the colorful decor. Shared areas, kitchen and living room were not crowded. Loved the two porches. Not even 5 minutes from beach driving. Hit groceries and quick food needs before getting to the island.

Summary: Our family had a great time staying at the Driftwood Cottage! It was nice, quiet, and cozy. The location of the cottage is great! It's just a short drive to several beach locations (I do not recommend trying to walk.) and it’s also really close to The Islander, which in our opinion, is the best food on the island! The only downside to the Driftwood Cottage that we ran into is that there is no door to the master bedroom. There is a winding stair case that keeps you from seeing into the bedroom from the down stairs area but no actual door. It wasn’t really a problem for us but if you value privacy from the other guests you may want to take that into consideration.

Summary: The house was clean and we had a good stay overall. So I’m not telling anyone that reads this not to stay here. But there are some things you need to know. When we arrived the house was surrounded by weeds, wild growth, it was bad. The mosquitoes around the house were terrible. The yard had not been maintained since the house was built it appeared. The upstairs where the adults sleep does not have a bathroom. So if you are a little older like me and have to get up at night to go to the bathroom, you will have to go downstairs. There is no door on the main bathroom downstairs except for the hallway door. So you have to make sure the kids room is cleared out or they have direct access to a bathroom with no door. The good: The house inside was very clean, decorated well, plenty of amenities, quiet area, not bad at all. Hope this helps.

Summary: This home was perfect for our small family. Everything is new and updated. Fairly close to everything. We rented a cart for the week to run around town which was really fun but not necessary. We only had to contact once and they were very responsive.

Summary: The house fit our needs very well. It was super cute and clean. The beds were very comfortable. It's in a peaceful, quiet location with a short walk or drive to the beach. There's no view of the gulf from the house but the dune and trees provide shade and lots of birds and squirrels visible from the porches. There is a trail to the beach at the end of the street but it's a tough walk through sand. I definitely recommend it just pack essentials only. The only thing I would change would be moving the door to the main bathroom and possibly adding one to the upstairs bedroom for more privacy. Anyone staying with kids will appreciate this.
