Located directly on Diamond Lake, this 3BR/2BA home has a fenced yard, 70' pier, and beds for 9. Located on the west side of the lake with a bluff behind it leaves the water calm even on a windy day.
Diamond Lake is the largest inland lake in SW Michigan (it has a car ferry over to a residential island). Diamond Lake is the ideal water ski, fishing, or boating lake, with plenty of shoreline for interesting sightseeing by boat. And because it is so large, it rarely seems crowded with boats, even on summer weekends.
This 3BR/2Bath(showers only) home is 2 hours from Chicago, 30 minutes from South Bend, and 1 hour from Kalamazoo. MBR has a new King Pillowtop, second BR has 2 twins, third BR has a new Queen pillow top and a day bed with trundle, plus a queen Sleeper sofa in the Great Room. Great Room has 14' redwood plank cathedral ceiling; fireplace at one end, kitchen at the other. Hardwood flooring throughout. Sunporch (with new sofa and Loveseat) faces the lake, with wrap-around deck beyond that. New Split/Mini ac/heat system.
There is a patio and 'beach sandbox' (for sunbathing/Bon Fires) out by the lake. Room for volleyball between the house and lake. Sandy bottom out chest deep; docking for 3 boats. Home is NOT wheel chair accessible. Turn-key furnished (excluding "consumables" (including paper goods), including linens, BBQ, etc. Several golf courses within 15 minutes (2 within 2 miles).
If you are bringing a pet, PLEASE pick up their waste prior to departure.

Summary: The back yard is lush and green. Well manicured. Perfect size for volleyball and other games. The view from the sun room and back deck are beautiful. Fully fenced in for dogs. Clean, private beach area with clean sandy lake bottom. Very gradual depth. Perfect for toddlers and kids. Clean place with nice neighbors. A couple of kayaks would have been a bonus. Great experience!

Summary: We enjoy this cottage so much. Love drinking coffee on the deck while watching the sun come up over the lake. We love coming back every time. The cottage is right on the water. Just hop right in the boat. The fenced in yard is great for our dogs. The fireplace is cozy for cooler nights.

Summary: Texans visiting daughter in Michigan. The house was cozy and perfect for our needs for our stay. Had everything we needed for cooking/ cleaning already in the house. My son was immediately ecstatic about the yard and of course the lake with the little beach area. The chilly water didn’t deter him from walking around gathering shells. The neighborhood is perfect for walking and enjoying the changing colors. It’s an older house. So things don’t look brand new. But that adds to the charm of the home for me. I messaged back and forth with the owner, not even thinking I should message with the property manager. And despite him dealing with the hurricane down in Florida, he responded to me each time. I can’t recommend this property enough. Or thank the owner enough. The whole experience was perfect.

Summary: The home worked great for our ten person, three family group. ( Grandparents, kids, and grandchildren) It had all necessary amenities to make our stay enjoyable. The yard and lakefront were perfect! The whole family enjoyed boating, swimming, bon fires, and playing in the sandy beach. We would definitely like to return.

Summary: Very spacious. Great setting on large, quiet lake. Good response from property manager. (Some expected soap products were not available when we arrived but soon provided by property mgr.) Comfortable bed. Previous occupants did a terrible job of washing the dishes. (For example, there was grit inside coffee cups.) There was food debris in silverware drawer and on some of the kitchen cabinet shelves.
