Adventure awaits at this 4 bedroom 3 bath working 256 acre cattle farm. Situated on 2 miles of the Opequon Creek, you can relax and forget your worries as you partake in the many activities provided to you. There are tubes for floating and fishing equipment for your enjoyment. Bring your own kayak if that's what you'd prefer. Plop in on your vessel and enjoy a relaxing float that will end close to the house so you won't have to walk far. Cast your line out into the Opequon where you can possibly catch catfish, bass, brim, and an occasional trout. Feel free to explore the woods where you will find trails to guide you. Wake up every morning and enjoy your coffee on the upstairs balcony. Sit in the library where you will find many board games provided for a fun game night. Relax on the back patio equipped with a gas grill for your family to cookout. Prefer the open flame, you can also find an outdoor fireplace. You will be provided with one load of firewood for your stay.
Bring your horses (extra fee) for trail riding.
There is a 13 stall barn for your use. So many activities for your family members of all ages to enjoy, and so much area to explore.
Stay at the farm and play the whole time or head out and enjoy the surrounding areas. You will be close to areas such as historic Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown. Summary: This is our second stay at the farmhouse - and we loved it, yet again. The host even left Easter baskets for my kids, which I thought was so incredibly thoughtful. We created amazing memories with family that we will cherish forever. The house is so comfortable in every way - we are so thankful to be able to have such a wonderful experience. With young children, it is difficult to travel and be comfortable, but at this VRBO, everything is provided. The property was even more beautiful during the green spring, with gorgeous perennials starting to come up - including wild Virginia bluebonnets. We cannot wait to come back and see the farmhouse in the summertime. Thank you again for an awesome stay.

Summary: The farmhouse was an incredible dream. Gorgeous views. The layout of the house, decor and furnishings were comfortable, classy and had a wonderful feel. There was a high chair for my infant (and baby gates!) and a toddler bed for my 3-year-old (and legos!). They played on the playground out back. If you’ve read a romanticized children’s book about a farmhouse and want to recreate it - this is the place for you. All amenities included, nothing I could think of that they didn’t provide. It felt impossible that such an isolated oasis was actually only 1.5mi from a Starbucks. I felt at home and cannot wait to bring my family back. Thank you Ms. Norma for the gift of such a life experience we will never forget.

Summary: The home is just beautiful as are the surroundings. We had such a good time. There were several very comfortable spaces to gather and be together. And it was a great place to take walks in the gorgeous surroundings. The kitchen was well stocked. We are already talking about going back.

Summary: We had an amazing stay here celebrating my sister’s 40th birthday! Beautiful property and plenty of space to accommodate our group of 10. Loved seeing the cattle grazing nearby and having the feeling of being away from everything-even though you are only a 15 min drive from town. Wished the weather would have been a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed the creek so I hope to come back sometime in the summer. The house is equipped with everything you need and the host was very responsive and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!

Summary: We had lots of space to spread out, plenty of room in the kitchen to cook with lots of appliance choices. We enjoyed the outside fire pit, and the huge grill! The property was beautiful and peaceful! Property manager was helpful and responsive! Highly recommend this rental!

Summary: This property was a delight to get away from a busy world. We enjoyed watching the cows, deer and birds. The property is beautiful to walk around and the creek was a great place to tube. Martinsburg has a neat downtown with great places to eat. We also visited Charles Town, with casino and horse racing and Harper's Ferry. The home was spacious and had everything we needed and more for a relaxing stay.
