Summary: We were a bit worried when we pulled up the house, because the outside could use some TLC & another guest had noted that the house hadn't been cleaned properly. Once we managed to get the key out of the hide-a-key (it didn't work well), we were relieved to find a very clean & modern interior. Overall, the house was comfortable with new appliances, but it could be improved by fixing the smaller issues (eg: most of the doors/locks didn't work properly, windows were missing screens, the hide-a-key was damaged, closet doors didn't work, etc). The cabin is also in a great location if you like to mountain bike, which was the focus of our stay. Finally - we did have a bear try to get into the laundry room the last night (it clawed the screen), but ran away when we yelled at it from the second story and because of gaps under the garage door, a squirrel got in (we opened the smaller side door and it ran out).

Summary: This was our first summer experience visiting S. Lake Tahoe as a family. Our arrival went relatively smooth. However, I was very disappointed that all concerns after the check in process went ignored by the main contact person. Due to Covid, I was prepared to do a thorough cleaning of the cabin as extra precaution. The obvious was neat and organized but I was shocked to see how dirty some of the highly touched areas were. Hand rails for the very steep stair way was filthy. Bed sheets were not clean either. When I checked the kids bunk bed, I found dirty sheets underneath the comforter. The bed was also not made properly & the sheets were placed upside down. It was as if maybe the previous occupants fixed it themselves & housekeeping just left it as is without changing out the sheets. I emailed pics to the manager, but of course, no reply... I also found strands of long hair in the sheets of the beds. We arrived in Tahoe with the weather in high 80s. It was pretty stuffy in the cabin. Unbelievably, there was no AC & only 1 fan to accommodate the entire cabin. All of the bedrooms were extremely warm & uncomfortable to sleep in. None of the windows have screens so it was impossible to get any air flow at night without being attacked by moths & mosquitoes from the outside. Another disappointment was to see the “kids room” downstairs by itself. All other rooms were upstairs. This is not an ideal setup if you have young kids. It’s a safety & liability issue. Overall, because this was our first visit, we made the most of it. However, I would not make a return visit to this cabin nor would I refer anyone else.

Summary: We could have not picked a better place for our extended weekend in Tahoe! Location was right on our way to our favorite ski resort, Kirkwood, on a quiet street; but close enough (10-15 min drive) to the lake and all of the attractions in the area. The house was sparkling clean and has a very welcoming feel. We ate in most of the time and we very much appreciated having a kitchen fully equipped with everything needed, from utensils to spices! The rooms are bright and beds comfortable, and we loved hanging out in the cozy living room area warmed up by the fireplace. A smart TV and fast internet was a great plus! The check in was very smooth and you could see that the owners go above and beyond in making you feel comfortable throughout your stay. We highly recommend this place and we will definitely stay here next time we are in Tahoe. Thank you for your hospitality, Sushila & Owen!

Summary: A fabulous cabin in a great location! Quiet neighborhood close to resorts, dining & a nice grocery store. Loved being able to walk straight out the back door into nature and go sledding with my son. Nice, modern finishes throughout, with new floors, appliances, and furniture.
