Barbecue. Hot tub (private). Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a borehole.. These warm, comfortable and stylish holiday lodges are situated in the middle of glorious farm land with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside on display. Each lodge has its own private garden and hot tub, with music system and lights, to set the mood during the long summer nights and the dark starry evenings. This is a great place for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching, pony trekking, sightseeing and visiting museums and art galleries. The lodges are located near the famous Offa’s Dyke Path and Glyndwr Way national trails, all within easy driving access. The coastal nature reserve of Ynyslas Sands and the dolphins of Cardigan Bay are within a day trip. It is less than 5 miles to the attractive Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells and 8 miles to the market town of Rhayader, both having an interesting array of small shops, cafés and restaurants. The stunning Elan Valley is located just a couple miles further on, where here you will find the famous red kite feeding station, Welsh Crystal Factory, cycle hire, and a myriad of other outdoor pursuits. Fishing is available by arrangement with the owner. There is also golf and horse riding within a 3 mile drive. Whether you are staying for a weekend or longer, there is no shortage of things to enjoy. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Summary: Overall Oakview is a outstanding getaway cottage. The owner is superb and really friendly. Everything about the cottage was above my expectations. Just be aware that this cottage is a little remote, exactly what we wanted, but you will have to drive to get to most things. If I could I would have given it more than 10 for Comfort, Location, Cleanliness and Value for money. We will be back. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Summary: As a disabled person this was ideal for me. All on one level with little step to enter and exit. Warm and comfortable with only one of the heaters we used in foyer. Summary: We spent a week here and had an amazing time. The views are breath taking, especially from the hot tub. If your looking for a relaxing, tranquil experience I can't recommend this place enough. There's only four lodges, each one being completely private and peaceful which was just perfect. With views like this there's no need to venture far but we did take a lovely walk along the lanes to the nearest pub which is about 1.5 miles away and with the nearest town and supermarket only a short drive away we had everything we needed for the week. The owner, Isabelle, was really welcoming and friendly, going out her way to bring us some sun loungers from her own home so we could sit and relax in the lovely September sunshine. Summary: Overall was a nice place to stay the view and hot tub was a bonus. The Host was very friendly and welcoming left the cottage warm for us when we arrived. Only bad side was poor phone and wifi connection inside.

Summary: would highly recommend this cottage to literally anyone who wants a quick escape just like me and a few friends did! The lady was very helpful and even left the heaters on for our arrival. cottage was easy to locate, everything was perfect and will be back again very soon!
