Positive: We booked 2x rooms (one for us & one for my parents) and they completely agree with my review: The family are SOOO lovely!!!!! Super affordable and RIGHT on the border of the national park 🏞️🐘 you literally see elephants all along the road! It’s clean, the are comfortable and shower is hot :) the host took us on the safari and was also the guide so we didn’t have to pay extra for a guide! He was great stopping at all the animals so we could get photos and videos. Breakfast is also very tasty! THANK YOU 🙏🏼

Positive: We loved this little place. The family that runs it is super friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. It’s surrounded by a huge garden, there’s a nice terrace with tables and chairs to relax and eat. We took a nice stroll down to the entrance of the National Park after our safari, which took about 45 mins but we quite enjoyed it. You can spot elephants from the side of the road if you’re lucky. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, some of the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka.

Positive: Clean, smells good, welcome drink, great hosts, perfect location. Nothing like most con hotels in Udawalawe. The owners really care about you and your stay and offer a fair price for the safari. They went the extra mile and even offered me a ride to catch an early bus a few kilometers away. They even texted afterwards to make sure I travelled well.

Positive: Really amazing safari, we’re super lucky to see a leopard with tour of the host because he knows his ways in the park. View incredible on the park and different wildlife such as elephants or buffalos. Food was amazing and felt like a buffet. Staff were also very welcoming and genuine. Price value was amazing definitely recommend.
Negative: Bed could be a bit softer but not bad at all

Positive: The family is super friendly, they have a well equipped store downstairs and they offered great dinner. The family arranged the safari and we went with their jeep. The price was really good comparing to other tour operators and we've seen lots of animals.
Negative: The location of the Peacock Villa is a bit outside the city. But since we just spent one night there for the safari, it was still really convenient. In the city itself isn't much to do anyway.
Summary: The host family was awesome and offered us a great safari, all in all for a good price.

Positive: Really, this accommodation is a great accommodation. I stayed at this lodge for a day and I also went on a safari with the owner of this lodge. I saw many animals during that safari. The food provided by this accommodation is also very delicious. They run this accommodation with family members. I recommend this accommodation.

Positive: The host and his wife are extremely friendly.we have done Safari directly with them,he has his own jeep. The tour was wonderful, we had breakfast and lunch directly in Safari- it was wonderful. the Villa is very close to the Safari, 2-3 min and you can see sometimes see elephants close to villa. Breakfast, dinner was very good and portions are huge. we can advice this place further.

Positive: When we arrived at this property the family welcomed us and showed us to our room that was already ready! The rooms were basic but has everything we needed and the really good WiFi! We headed to the big main balcony and right across the road there was an elephant! It was amazing. We were welcomed with fresh juices and asked if we like to have dinner there which we said yes to. The dinner was absolutely unreal, so tasty! The next day we actually went out with the man from the family to do a safari (booked through the family). Only 5 minute drive to Udawalawe national park. The safari was amazing, and we got to see all sorts in a private jeep! We had a lovely breakfast whilst on the safari and then greeted with another fresh drink when we got back. Overall it was a great experience and we couldn’t recommend it enough!
