Positive: Location was excellent! Walkable to town square and restaurants, grocery store. Cute place! Room for my family of 5. Nice shower.
Negative: Had difficulty with the washer/dryer and dishwasher. No streaming but that was expected on the island.

Positive: Well set up cottage in a quiet location with very good utilities and comfy bed.
Negative: Instructions to clean up the rubbish but bins full already! The request to take out bins on a non-existent schedule to a distant kerb side seemed rather rude for the cost of the stay. What do the property managers/cleaners do?

Positive: Well thought out, tastefully finished and equipped.
Negative: We found the layout of the various switches around the house confusing. Some labels could help. The dryer does not seem to work unless you empty the extracted water in the residual tank at the bottom, a setup that was unusual for us.

Positive: - [ ] Nice location with parking, entry instructions, comfortable living, dining areas. Nice kitchen with full size appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator, dish-washer). Nice grounds with large deck (partially covered, motion sensing lighting) - [ ] Well organized binder of area features and sights-to-see, along with maps and brochures. Convenient Location for walk to town or pier.
Negative: - [ ] Queen Mattress in bedroom with sliding door to deck was uncomfortable with springs felt along the edges. - [ ] Kitchen towels, paper towels and sponge would be an asset along with dish soap to clean dishes as was requested before departing. Having to place dishes in cabinets before departure seems excessive for the fee paid. Skillets non-stick surfaces scratched. - [ ] Response from property manager through Bookings app as indicated for requests and contacting would be appreciated. - [ ] Confusing departure expectations regarding linens and trash.

Positive: Location was great and the house was beautiful. Well put together and very nice to have both a washer and dryer. Bedrooms and kitchen were very nice, as was the decor throughout the house.
Negative: The wifi is non-existent. We had to use data and a wifi hotspot from our phones to access anything on the TV for our toddler (this was especially important since there was a big storm on our first night and there was nothing else to do). Also, there was no hot water when we got there and our message to our "hosts" (a faceless management company) inquiring about this went unanswered for the entire visit. In fact, they still haven't written back. Only through trial and error were we able to turn on the hot water heater. And despite a beautiful kitchen (and stove!) there wasn't much cookware available.
Summary: Beautiful house, unresponsive hosts, non-existent wifi

Negative: Wifi was non-existent and despite many reviews with the same problem, the property owners and the management team were unwilling / unable to do anything about it. Also the comms was not great. When I tried to contact the person listed in the welcome pack, I received a very quick reply to say they were no longer associated with that property and that they should have been removed. Finally, there was a power outage in Portree on the last day of our visit and there were no torches, candles or matches available to use. Had to make do with mobile phone torches.
Summary: Skye is fantastic and well worth a visit. However, this property is not worth the money and not well managed if you do.

Negative: Had problems with the dryer. Instructions for using the dryer would have been super helpful. We had no prior experience with a dryer that didn’t vent outside. The dryer kept turning off, very frustrating. Took us a while to figure out there was a water reservoir that needed to be emptied and how to access it. The reservoir should had been emptied when the house was cleaned before our arrival. The washer and dryer was one of the reasons we booked this home. Also shower in main bathroom was confusing. Didn’t realize at first the switch for the shower was in the hallway.
Summary: Nice house but could use instructions for dryer and shower.
