Positive: Decent location but bit dated. Appreciate its a lodge/ has certain aesthetic but room had funky smell and lights made buzzing sounds when kept on too long
Negative: Lack of service - not once on our 4night stay were towels or linens changed. Whilst we werent fussed about linen a towel change at least once every couple days wouldve been nice. You cant expect guests to keep reusing damp towels when staying for that long.

Positive: The location was beautiful, stunning views of the lake to wake up to each morning! The room was spacious and cozy, and the amenities were lovely and clean.
Negative: It took us a bit to work out the wall mounted heater didnt work and figure out the replacement heater, but once we got that working, it was great!
Summary: We had a delightful stay at Pencarrow Boutique Lodge and would love to come back and stay again.

Summary: House was in a lovely location, being a lodge we weren’t sure it would be very private but we didn’t see or hear anyone

Positive: Fabulous views of lake and mountains; comfortable bed with blanket (useful instead of doona); nice hot shower with option of spa bath. Location half way between Queenstown and Frankton meant we could easily drive into Remarkables shops for dinner rather than battling traffic and finding a park in Queenstown itself. But also a pleasant walk (about 5 km) into Queenstown along lakeside.
Negative: Only two little niggles. The fridge, which was opposite the bed, was quite noisy in operation; slightly annoying during the quiet of the night. The latch on the opening window in the sitting room was not adequate to resist wind gusts when we wanted ventilation; needs a stronger setup.
