Positive: Loved the seclusion and comfortable uncluttered space. Very comfortable thank you Kitchen was very well kitted out - I wanted for nothing! Bathrooms were spotless and bright. Great having a washer dryer on site.
Negative: The bed was not of the quality that I had expected. I would love to have had drapes at the front sliding door next to the TV. Felt a little exposed in the evening with the lights on inside.

Positive: We love the area around Wiarton as it is close to some amazing hiking trails. The Green Door cafe in town was a delight. Quiet area and lots of space in the house and grounds. The owner was always quick to respond on any of my questions.
Negative: The heat was on (set to about 20C) and we couldn't find a thermostat to control it. We like to turn the heat down at night and found it uncomfortable to sleep with the heat on. It sounded like a furnace was running most of the time and we had all of the windows and doors closed to save on energy. There are many steps down to the water which was fine for us but it could be a problem for some people. The photo of the two chairs on the dock are the neighbour's property. Those photos are very misleading and the neighbour has had problems in the past with renters thinking that his dock was the dock to use.
Summary: Great area to stay but some adjustments necessary.

Positive: The place was quite clean, relatively new with good privacy. The kitchen was well equipped the TV worked well and the outdoor areas were really nice.
Negative: The Wifi password did not work. An air freshener was running which is not ideal if you have allergies. Only one way in and out on a private road. A little map showing public water access across the street would have been helpful to avoid trespassing.

Positive: Very well furnished. We're trail runners and a trailhead to the Bruce was only a mile away. It was awesome. Having a fire pit, 2 bedrooms and an on suite half bath to the master bedroom was mint. Every appliance. Potent water heater. Lots of windows. SO MANY PLACES TO SIT OUTSIDE. Pretty private. Great shower.
Negative: 😬 there was garbage outside from like the last renters. The place was super clean inside but I sort of expected there to be garbage bags and like a bin that wasn't super f***ed up outside so we could be good guests and take care of things but we ended up like leaving our garbage bagged and inside the place because there was nowhere to put it outside without risking woodland creatures attacking it and making an ungodly mess. The barbecue is. . . Maybe not so great. Access to Mallory beach is not exactly direct or obvious: I kind of had to query the neighbours to figure it out. No big deal, like. . . It's just across the road and like down a set of stairs but it isn't obvious and it *feels* like it isn't a public access. The outdoor shower would have been mint but the hoses were not connected..I suppose we could have run them but meh. Anyways..TAKEAWAY..IT WAS AWESOME. We had an effing awesome time. It was right on the Bruce and you could run to Bruce's caves or like run 100 miles to Tobermory. We went to Lion's Head and that was super close and also drove to Tobermory in like 45 minutes. Totally awesome spot. you are at the border of the Bruce Peninsula section and the sydenham section and the beach in wiarton is sandy and shallow. It's amazing. We spent 3 nights there and it was not enough. I'd blatantly rent there again.
Summary: It's awesome. I think maybe there are some things that were overlooked but it's palatial.

Positive: It’s a scape from stress and town life , to a very quiet neighborhood ,beautiful and clean area, the property was very nice , easy to use the facilities and you have everything you may need , i fell in love with the fire place at night between the trees, few steep s to the lake , and 5 minutes away to a public view point and peer. The host was very helpful and replied to my questions fast . I loved my stay and will come again for sure.
