Positive: Pension Hallberg is just a short walk from the ferry and close to the lakes edge. There is an elevator for those with luggage. We loved our room, which was cosy and homely with a spectacular view of the lake and town. We stayed in winter and dinner options were limited, so we appreciated the adequately appointed kitchenette and the little convenience store directly across the way. It was a lovely hideaway from the busy Halstatt tourist hustle and bustle.

Our room was a perfect retreat, and the view of the lake from our window was simply amazing. A huge bonus is having access to cooking facilities, crockery, and cutlery if you want to avoid the higher prices of eating out in Hallstatt. The self-check-in process was a breeze.
