Positive: The view was spectacular, in particular, having breakfast overlooking Florence was phenomenal. The rooms were well-appointed, and the building is so quaint. The check-in and check-out process were easy. Make sure to ask for a cappuccino or similar at breakfast! So delicious.
Negative: As mentioned in some other reviews, the room's sound-proofing was not great (but we expected this from an older building). The staff were not 100% friendly some of the time, but nothing major.
Summary: Lovely countryside stay with phenomenal breakfast views. Will be our go-to for Florence visits.

Negative: If you don’t have a car it’s hard to get to and from Florence. Getting a taxi to and from could be difficult. However there is a bus with frequent service a few meters outside of the property and if you don’t mind the uphill walk to it like us, it’s pretty easy.

Positive: You can see the gorgeous view from the restaurant and it’s the best thing there. The building has lots of nice antique furniture and it’s beautiful.
Negative: We ate breakfast but they cleaned up too soon and we couldn’t get enough food. I wish they could have announced us when they cleaned up. We payed €20 each and ate for like €5… very disappointing. Family room is so basic and didn’t even have a table to eat. And the view isn’t very nice. You have to pay €40x2for a taxi to get there and going back to Florence. If you have lots of luggage, it’s not easy to get there by bus.
Summary: Very charming but they have many things to improve their service.

Negative: We eat at the restaurant on both evenings, I don’t think the restaurant is living up to the rest of the place. The menu is too restricting and minimalist. We ordered need medium and it was rare. I ordered pasta and it was slightly hard. We had the breakfast on the first morning. The fruit salad and pastry options are bare minimum. You are paying a premium for the food at this wonderful place and it is just not meeting the expectation and example of the rest of the hotel.
